I learned, much to my horror, that there is such a thing as Scalloped Cauliflower.
I did not learn the consequences of Tim coming home for lunch and only having cake.
I learned that their marriage is doomed to failure if they are going to be relying on the cooking of someone who had to be shown (and described in scientific detail) boiling.

I learned that people in the 1950's were f*&$@ing morons who had to have 'boiling' explained to them.

Oh, and I also learned that crisp, flavorful, steamed vegetables = communism. Seriously, that cauliflower dish both looked and sounded horrible.

I learned I've been creaming my butter wrong all my life...
Also I can "roast" a cake and make a pot "bake" because the terms are the same

I STILL dont know how adding about a half cup of cream to a cake recipe can turn it into unleven bread.
