ESB was a consistent chuckler, but not one that hit me with very many big belly laughs. It was good to see Chad Vader getting more utilized than his previous Rifftrax collaboration, but I didn't think he was nearly as funny as during the Blame Society riff of A New Hope. I thought the track lost a little steam towards the final third, and it's probably in the middle of the pack as far as SW riffs, but this one is still strong enough to warrant repeat viewings.

7/10

10/10 from me

I only have a handful of 10/10s (Chamber of Secrets, Matrix Reloaded, Twilight and Star Trek 6 are the other ones). Like those, this is one of those ones I never get tired of rewatching. They obviously went out of there way to make this one good, and it shows. Fantasic job in all respects.

Though the Taun-Taun running/standing still thing did bug me a bit.

We finally watched this last night in anticipation of Jedi.

Eh.

It had some real gut-busters, but the rest were OK at best and a lot of real misses.

In fact, Chad Vader really owned this riff, if you ask us.

For Chad I bumped my score up to a 7.

A New Hope was so perfect that maybe we were expecting too much? But I watched the sample of Jedi and it was hilarious, so maybe it's just the source material? I dunno.

A New Hope was better, I'll give you that. However, that movie has the dual advantage of being the first Star Wars movie, and being much more "make-fun-of-able". ESB is the only SW movie I really like, so I went into this riff expecting to disappointed (I usually don't like when they riff movies that are actually good).

I wasn't disappointed.
