Yay! I was beginning to think it was the live show that made me like Mothra. So many board members aren't into it, but it's one of my favorite live shows. Haven't witnessed it in MP3 form, though.

Well, just today I created a Sync File for Mothra, so if you have the DVD and a computer with a DVD Drive, you can play it in the riff player! If you want the Sync file, go into the New Riffplayer forum.

EDIT: or just use create a sync file with these parameters:

Code: [Select]
riffdelay_init=6.00
riffstart=6.000
time_offset=1.000950000

I just finished watching The Room with with 2016 rifftrack. The movie is terrible, but it's still not the worst movie I ever saw (That would be Black Shampoo)!

As bad as The Room is, at least it looks like something you'd see in theaters.

Deadly Insticts - I liked the riffing by MaryJo and Bridget, but this movie was slooooow! Also, the monster looked a lot like Pumpkinhead.

Star Games.  The special effects in the space scenes were just insane in their awfulness.  No wonder most of the movie took place in the forest....

Godzilla (1998). The first time I watched it, I watched it unriffed in the movie theaters. I bought the DVD just to hear it riffed. I especially love the NYC-centric jokes in this one (even if some of them are stereotypical if not entirely untrue, à la the "Brooklyn has hipsters" riff).

Megaforce.  What an odd movie.  I couldn't understand what was going on, so I looked up the Wikipedia plot summary.  After that, I STILL couldn't figure out what was going on.

So the Megaforce came in, destroyed one small town, and then left?  Even though the enemy Colonel offered them a chance to leave peacefully, they still had to fight their way through a column of tanks?

And I never thought I'd see an action movie that was even less focused than a Michael Bey movie.

Batman & Robin. Rifftrax should crowdsource their writing more often. This was a great idea and the results speak for themselves.

Jurassic World.

I hadn't seen the movie, because I knew it would be, well, a lot like what it was. Really cliched characters, a forced as hell romance, and I'm not proud of this but I really wanted to punch that younger brother. Like, a lot and really hard.

Most people found Force Awakens to be derivative, but it could've easily been THIS!

The Rifftrax was really funny, though, it's the only reason I would've watched this movie.

In Jurassic World, all I could think about through the second half of the movie was "How the hell is she running so much in those high heels?"

Yeah, me too. I hated that bit in the movie! They were trying to show him as being a jerk for insulting her shoes, and her as strong an capable because she defied him. YOU CAN'T WALK IN MUD WITH HEELS! It just doesn't work, regardless of how "strong and independent" you are!

The shoes thing also bothers me in Two Broke Girls.  Caroline is a waitress, on her feet all day, but wearing heels?  No waitress would ever do that.

But Two Broke Girls has a lot more problems than just the shoes.

Psychotronic Man.

I've been on the move so finally catching up with the last 3 or so. This one was a solid 8, a truly bizarre gem of a movie that was fun to watch, but the riffing was a little lackluster/uninspired at times. To be fair the movie doesn't give them much to work with seeing as there is zero character development and barely any human relationships at all. The long chase at the end reminded me of Incredible Melting Man. I kept expecting to hear a "Steve!" at some point.

Birdemic: Live edition.

It's been a while since I watched Birdemic, but I think I full and unironically hate this movie now.  If it were just produced poorly, I could put it into the "so bad it's good" category, but the story makes so little sense and the moralizing is so heavy handed that I just can't stand it any more.  It seems like it's supposed to be a ripoff of The Birds, but in that movie people actually attempted to avoid the birds by staying inside.  In this movie, as soon as birds start attacking people, our heroes immediately go on some long, directionless drive around California, stopping several times to have picnics.  Their van seems to get about 3 miles per gallon, and they are constantly hungry.  The plot just made so little sense that it was just insulting.

Also watched Hawk The Slayer yesterday.  What was that?  Jack Palance is a good actor.  Why was he in this awful movie giving such an awful performance?  It made no sense.

Oblivion.

This movie is so camp it might not have worked as a riff but the writing was good and most importantly the guys seemed to be really enjoying themselves. Solid riff!
My God, this thing was shot in Bucharest. I guess that explains the ceiling fans? Maybe not.
I think the verb for making the kind of appearance, long after their career has ended, that Catwoman, Sulu, and one of the greatest singers who ever lived (hey, if all you've heard is Shaft go back and listen to some of his other early 70's work) make here should be called John Carradin-ing.
