I can totally see that reaction. He definitely lacks the charisma other popular reviewers have. For me i found his content to be a very acquired taste but I continued to listen because of his integrity.

Oh he's got plenty of charisma. Over the weekend, I watched him stream a series of Starcraft games on the ladder. 10,000 other people were watching too. Those folks weren't watching for his playing prowess at the game as he's not really a top tier player. Heck, I have a TB miniature on my desk thanks to a Kickstarted boardgame last year.

That being said, yeah, he's got a lot of quirks that drive folks off from him. I spend as much time during the Polaris podcast rolling my eyes at what he's saying as I do actually considering his points.

Always been more of a Yahtzee fan myself, when it comes to British sounding video game reviewers.

Back on topic.  If you haven't pre ordered Dark Souls II yet, it's now $40.00 on green man gaming.  The pre-order bonus items on steam turned me off of pre ordering, I was just going to wait till it came out.  But I like the idea of an extra $10 off.  Not sure if you get the bonus weapons, but like I said, I don't want to take the easy way through Dark Souls.  That's not why you play Dark Souls.

Yeah, the GMG site specifically mentions the 10 bonus weapons so you should get them. And it activates on Steam anyway.

If you're a Marvel Heroes player, they're having a big weekend where they've brought back all of their most popular holiday items and bonuses, and there's a bunch of codes that have been reactivated too. Most of them give you buff items, but there are two particularly cool codes:

RNDMHRO will unlock a random hero.
RNDMCSTM will unlock a random costume.

Just sign into your account at marvelheroes.com, click on your profile and click on Redeem Key to redeem.

EDIT to correct the hero code.

PEWPEWPEW and VENGEANCE will also give you some boosts as well. (I got Wolverine from mine on my alt account.) And there's also a Buy a hero/costume and get one free promo as well.

Yeah, I decided to pick up Taskmaster and ended up with a free Iron Man. Not bad for $5.

Humble has announced 14 days of bundles, starting with a "re-bundle" of the Deep Silver bundle from last year, including Saint's Row 2 and 3, Metro 2033, Dead Island, Dead Island: Riptide, Risen, Risen 2, Sacred Citadel and Sacred 2.  $9 gets you the whole thing.  A new bundle will be announced every day for the next two weeks.  https://www.humblebundle.com/?maymaymaymaymay

I didn't pick this up last year and it's one of the rare bundles where I own none of the games, so I'll probably be getting this one.

Dang it.  I saw that this morning.  I had already pre-ordered it from Best Buy for the $10 gas card.

Minor thing here-

Target is selling $20 Steam gift cards for $18 this week (plus tax, where applicable.) Not a huge sale, but if you use Steam a lot, even saving a buck or two will add up.

Humble Bundle is offering an E3 bundle today.  It includes Civ III, Anomoly 2, MX vs. AtV, DLC for Payday 2, Magika, Rome II, Smite, Eve, Landmark Beta access, and for $2.10 (right now) the Mortal Kombat arcade pack.  Civ III is always worth a buck. Go. Buy it.
