I just got Civ 4 and all its expansion packs for about eight bucks via steam. I have to gear up for the "Brave New World" expansion pack for Civ 5.
SO MUCH CIV!!!!!!!

I have a Hotline Miami code to giveaway. It's a super fun game. I'm going to say the first person to ask for it with an account older than three months (just to avoid scammers).

Thanks for the game, but I don't know if I will be physically able to beat it.  It's fun, and the gameplay is quite addicting, but I am also quite close to puking.  The floaty, trippy visuals give me major motion sickness.  I'm only going to be able to play in short bursts, which contradicts the nature of addicting games.  You're right, the game is quite hard, and I don't think I'm going to be able to get past some of the later levels without having to mop off my keyboard a few times.

But I like it enough to keep trying... just in shorter stints next time.  One level at a time is about all I can stomach.

I've rage quit a couple times. Haven't had the motion sickness problems, though. I seriously doubt I'll ever beat it. I enjoy games that (Super Meat Boy, VVVVVV, Spelunky), I just suck at them.

Battlefield 3 owners? If you don't have the "Close Quarters" expansion, it's free during E3. Use the code BF3E3 either from the "redeem code" menu in Origin or int eh in game menu in the console versions.

The Witcher 2 is $20.00 on steam this weekend.  Great game, one of my favorite RPGs.  And The Witcher 3 looks amazing, so this is a good way to get caught up on the rather in-depth story.  I'm actually readying the books that the games are based on right now.  They are quite good.

And here's something that's the exact opposite of a bargain that I also saw on steam: Planetary Annihilation is $90.00 on steam right now.  Why you ask?  Is it a collectors edition bundle that comes with all the DLC and a cool figurine?  Nope, pretty much the exact opposite.  The game is in the alpha stage right now.  You do get the soundtrack and some digital wallpapers though...

I mean I guess they want to keep the number of people in alpha to a minimum so they don't stress their servers too much, and charging $90 will definitely do that.  But I just question people who will pay $90 for something they have never played, which isn't even close to finished.

Two things: 1) The Witcher 2 is also $19.99 on GoG right now. Please buy it through there instead. Projekt Red will get more of that $20 that way as they run GoG. Otherwise you're giving Valve a chunk of money that should be going to the folks who made the game instead. You'll also get more extras, including the soundtrack, manual and a plethora of other stuff. The only thing that Steam is offering is a Steam Key. (I'll also note that looking at the Steam page, the game is $3.39 or $6.79 for something close to the GoG edition rather than the $20 above. If you want to buy it for the price, as $3.50 is pretty darn cheap, go ahead. But at least give a thought to buying it from GoG instead.)

2) As for PA, Yeah, it's $90 as the bid level for Alpha access on the Kickstarter was $90. Pretty simple. If someone paid $90 for alpha access last year and someone else was able to get in for a lower price now, those folks who paid the higher price would be rather massively annoyed, and with good reason. When it gets to beta, the price will likely drop to $40 (the bid level for beta access). I paid $20 for my copy, so I just get to wait until it's live and enjoy it then.

Kerbal Space Program is 33% off on Steam. Definitely worth getting if you enjoy really detailed simulators. I just wish they would offer Steam codes to people who bought it before it was on Steam.

Amazon just refunded $0.04 of my purchase for The Last of Us. Which I'll need because we all know what is about to happen.

Which I am tempted to buy, having not played the game in quite a long time and liking it as a kid.  What do you guys think, is it worth it for nostalgia?  I'm assuming I'm not going to be in love with the gameplay.  But I'm still very tempted....

They're advertising the game as having a way to level up stuff without grinding, so I'm guessing some sort of in-built cheats system to smooth over some of the gameplay's flaws.
