Today's GOG release is SSI's Imperialism, one of the great lesser known strategy games out there. You control a nation in the early imperialistic era and build and expand from there. It also features one of the more brutal AIs out there, making the game a good challenge. Ignore the dated graphics, it's a heck of a game.

Xcom: Enemy Unknown for $33 ftw!

I'll probably pick up Civ 5 Gods & Kings too.

If indie bundles are too indie for you, here's the Humble THQ Bundle!

http://www.humblebundle.com

Pay what you want and get:

Darksiders
Metro 2033
Red Faction: Armageddon
Company of Heroes
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor

Pay more than the average and they throw in:

Saints Row: The Third

They also toss in the soundtracks for each game 'cuz they're cool like that.

I know some of these games are legendary, but I've never tried a single one of them. Maybe it's time to check out what the mainstream is up to...

Woo! Got it yesterday for an obscenely low price. Over the average for SR3, of course. Hell, that's the only reason I want it. Wouldn't have even bothered if I didn't have a new video card on the way. My Radeon HD 5450 can barely run SWTOR, let alone something like Saints Row. I stopped playing Bioshock because I had to dial down the graphics so much, in fact. Hopefully the HD 6650 I'm getting will help things at least look halfway presentable.

Yeah, I got the bundle too, despite having beaten SR3 on the 360 and having no interest in either Darksiders of the Company of Heroes games.  I've heard Red Faction: Armageddon isn't too great either, but for £5 for all of them, and a chance to support THQ (screw the charities!) it seemed wholly worth it.

Almost bought Metro 2033 during the Steam Sale so this was an easy choice.

BTW: Fallout New Vegas? $4 at newegg right now

Free shipping and yes, it activates on Steam. If you missed Microsoft's $10 Complete FNV colection last weekend, this is pretty close to being almost as good of a deal.

Anyone who bought the Humble Bundle may want to check their e-mail links again, as there have been 2 new additions to it: Titan Quest and Red Faction: Armageddon DLC.

Oh, and GoG just launched their holiday sales as well today. Today's sale is the Bullfrog bundle for 75% off if you buy it all at once, or 50% off per title.

And for the next 48 hours Duke Nukem 3d is free.

Oooooh. I got a good one for us MST3k fans.

Years ago, an adventure game called Darkstar was made that featured, well, almost all the non-Rifftrax members of MST3k. Trace, Mary Jo, Joel, Beez, etc. Well, it's been rather expensive until now, but Strategy First, who distributed it, has it on sale on their website for $6.95. Still not good enough? Enter the code "HAPPYHOLIDAYS" for 80% off a single product from their store, for a grand total of $1.39.

Want a physical copy? Go here to their store to get one for $7.95 plus shipping. And if you don't want to deal with the whole "game" thing, they sell a copy of Darkstar the Movie for $7.95 as well.
