Steam's got a Halloween sale going on right now. The highlight is, of course, Railworks 3: TS2012 - Trains vs Zombies DLC, a zombie XP for a train building game. Oh, Bioshock and a bunch of other horror games are on sale too.

found an Anti-bargain. rented both battlefield 3 and batman arkham city. battlefield 3 makes you pay 800 MS points ( about 10 $) to play the multiplayer, and batman makes you pay to play the catwoman campaign which is necessary to get all the riddler trophies.

Both of which are free if you buy the game new.

There's a new Humble Indie Bundle out.  It began with an advanced order for the pixel shooter Voxatron in a "pay what you want" format, but they've just added two games: the pretty neat looking Blocks that Matter and The Binding of Isaac.  It's still pay what you want, though to get all of the games, you have to pay over the average, which is about $4.50 at the moment.

Because I'm rolling cash, I paid a whole $6 for the lot.  :)

Binding of Isaac is worth $6 itself, so I'd say that's a good deal. Wish they'd release it for iPhone but I can't really see that ever happening.

I've only played Binding of Isaac once, and I think I'll have to adapt the game to work on a gamepad - I just can't work the keys properly anymore (it's my secret shame that I play FPS games on PC with a pad too, now).  Blocks that Matter however, I've played a few hours of, neglecting Batman and Uncharted 3 in doing so.

I got the deal and the games seem awesome, but my Xbox Controller reciever is out, so I have to use Keyboard and Mouse. I reccomend the bundle, though. Blocks that Matter is worth the price alone. Haven't dug into the Binding of Isaac yet.

Use coupon code CAGFONV50 to get Fallout New Vegas (PC-DL) for $9.99 at Direct2Drive

And yes, you can then play it on Steam. You kinda have to.

Oh hell.

I'll be doing a BF list this year too, but Walmart's just rolled in:
A brief highlight:

$28 360/PS3 titles:
Batman: Arkham City
Battlefield 3
CoD: Black Ops
FIFA Soccer 12
Madden NFL 12
NASCAR 11
Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Yes, that's Arkham City and Battlefield 3, both less than a month old, on there.

Update- It looks like multiple places will have most of those titles in the just below $30 range, so if you want to avoid Walmart, you'll be able to do so.

And Good Old Games (Which now is officially just GoG) is selling one of my favorite RPGs Starflight 1 &2

Starflight was possible the first sci-fi  CRPG and I had a blast exploring the galaxy, blasting spemin and trying to determine what exactly happened to the Earth in the game. It was quite fun. It'll be, well, dated to you young-uns. (Graphically, these two games are from the mid to late 80s, so don't expect much in the graphics.)
