Hey! Don't have the money for that fancy Dragon Age bundle? Get some old school gaming on at Good Old Game (GOG.com) where you can get the just released Ultima IV for free. Zero. Zip. Nada. Just create an account and download it. (It's 25 massive MB of data.)

Ultima IV is one of the classics of gaming, if a bit graphically primitive for this day and age. But enjoy anyway!

Over at Amazon-
The just released Space Marine and Dead Island are $39.99 each via Amazon's download service.

Dead Island is a Steam game, so you can download via them  even if you buy on Amazon. Don't recall if Space Marine is or isn't Steam.

Also Tropico 4 is $31.99 via Amazon as well.

My local Best Buy added a trade in desk to their store. Previously trade ins had to be brought to the customer service desk, the inconvience made trading in an unenviable chore ... however the new system works awesome. I traded in 30 games (in two trips) ... the only bad part is that the 'greeter' has to sticker every case before you bring games into the store.

One helpful tip is to check the prices online first, they are the same instore so it should be easy to decide which games to sell and which to keep. Also, they run weekly specials so sell when the 'bonus' is good. I got a 30 % bonus when I sold my games the other week.

Yeah, £1.50 for Alpha Protocol is insane.  I own that game on 360 and I bought it again - mostly so I can break the stats start off by being a stealth master.  :)

The new AvP has been fun.  It has been worth exactly $5.00.  Would have been disappointed if I spent $50, and there's that psychological phenomena where you are more critical of things you get for free because you don't have to justify to yourself why you spent money on it in the first place.  So $5.00 is the perfect price.  Cheap enough to be worth it, and not free so I feel like I should keep playing to get my monies worth.

Humble bundle time! This is the humblest bundle yet with one game. Frozen Synapse. BUT if you pay more than average (Currently just under $5) then they toss in the Frozenbyte bundle, which has a bunch of other cool games, including the very awesome Trine.

http://www.humblebundle.com

Frozen Synapse looks awesome, but right now their servers are so hammered (for some reason) I can't get in to play. :^)

I'm waiting for them to give it to me for free, like they did the first one.  :)
