Oooh....

From Major Nelson, Microsoft announces the 360 Game of the Year Bundle..

That's a 360 Elite (The 120 GB model) and two games bundled in: Halo 3 and Fable II. All for the regular Elite price. ($399)  The bundle should be out in May.

That's a pretty good deal there. I went with the Pro bundle when I got mine. Kung Fu Panda and LEGO Indiana Jones. Fun games, but no Halo or Fable - both of which I have yet to purchase because they're still holding their value.

Okay, this one's a bit odd. And pay attention Doc.

From Amazon:
Quote
Buy a digital 4000 Xbox LIVE points card before May 1, 2009 and you'll receive a $10 promotional credit to use in the Xbox LIVE Store. You can never have too many points, but if this one time 4000 points are too many, then pick up a digital 1600 points card and you'll receive a $5 promotional credit to use in the Xbox LIVE Store.

Limit one credit per household. Offer valid from 12:00 AM Pacific Time on 04/22/09 to 11:59 PM Pacific Time on 05/02/09. This offer may not be combined with other offers or promotional certificates. Purchase one of the qualifying digital products from the list below and within two business days you will receive an e-mail letting you know that a discount has been applied to your account, and you can return and use your credit in the Xbox LIVE Store.

Translation: Buy a points card through Amazon, and they'll toss in either a $10 game if you buy the 4000 pt card or a $5 game for the 1600 point card.  The $5 games are things like Doom, Undertow or Uno i.e. the 400 pt. games. The $10 games are pretty much everything except Castle Crashers and Penny Arcade Adventures.Or you can get a discount  for a game too. Just note, Amazon doesn't offer any DLC, just ppoints and full games.

Doc,  after buying the points, you may want to head over to the xbox live site and enter the code in there, just in case the code has a time limit on using it. That way, if your high speed gets delayed, you'll still have the points on your account.

I couldn't find this anywhere on the best buy website. Is it maybe regional?

It's in their Sunday ad.

I've heard people from a number of locations across the country commenting that the games have been pre-stickered, so it should be a nationwide thing.

It saddens me to see Samba De Amigo hit the bargain bins so quicky. I mean- I don't have my copy yet either, so I guess I'm part of the problem, but I loved the original and wanted this to do well.

This weekend only! Probably the best deal I' ve heard of for the year. The Orange Box download for PC for $9.99 on Steam. Even without the discount this set is the best band for your buck. Includes: Half-Life 2, HL2: Episode 1, HL2: Episode 2, HL2: Lost Coast, Portal, and Team Fortress

I've heard terrible things about the Wii-make, Pak.  The controls are apparently awful.
