Credits for Rifftrax contributing writers
« on: February 28, 2009, 10:07:41 AM »
This is long overdue, but here is the Official List of people who have been contributing writers on our Rifftrax offerings.  It'll be amended as needed, especially if I left anything out.

********

Contributing writers / Rifftrax worked on:

Courtney Enlow  --   X-FILES: FIGHT THE FUTURE; SPIDER-MAN 2

Chris Hanel  --  SPIDER-MAN 2

Steve Lutz -- THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW

Sean Thomason  --  FANTASTIC FOUR 2: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER;  X-FILES: FIGHT THE FUTURE; SPIDER-MAN 2; THE DARK KNIGHT; HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN; STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE; JAWS; TRON; RED DAWN, FAST & FURIOUS, MATRIX REVOLUTIONS, DRAGON WARS

Josh Way --  X-FILES: FIGHT THE FUTURE; SPIDER-MAN 2; THE DARK KNIGHT; HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN

Heather Zimmerman --  X-MEN 2

Jake Feala -- TRANSFORMERS

Richard Hewett --  TRANSFORMERS

Greg Harrell-Edge --  TRANSFORMERS

Sam Miotke -- TRANSFORMERS

Matt Hoffman -- FANTASTIC FOUR 2

Cole Stratton --  HARRY POTTER  & THE SORCERERS STONE

Janet Varney --  HARRY POTTER  & THE SORCERERS STONE

Paul Sabourin -- FAST & FURIOUS

********

Two notes:

1) When a Rifftrax has a guest riffer (i.e. Weird Al, James Lileks, Josh Fruhlinger), they always contribute to the writing.

2) BATMAN & ROBIN was written entirely by contributing writers, coordinated by Riff Raff Theater:  http://www.riffrafftheater.com/  (If there's a link to a list of writers for that project, please let me know and I'll post it here.)

O.K.  Goodbye, then.

We need a few "Contributing writer" contests to go along with our iRiffing contests. You know, for the less microphoney of us.

Who's this Sean Thomason fellow?  And I'm guessing Conor isn't counted as a contributing writer, as he contributes on every one...

Neat, thanks for sharing that.

Tidbits like this are interesting to me as I often wonder who all is involved in the writing.

Hey Bill, I updated the list.  There were some from a while back that weren't on there.

Who's this Sean Thomason fellow?

I went to college with Sean and had a class or two with him.  We mostly knew of each other because we both wrote daily comic strips for the school paper for three years while we were at UVA.  Sean's strip "Blank Slate" was one of the few that I always found funny.

Blank Slate

Permanent Tanooki

Unfortunately, neither of these seem particularly funny, but they were the only ones I could find.

Nope, does not ring a bell.

* just kidding, I am sure your contributions were all the funny jokes on your Rifftrax.   Nice to meet you.   Now go make with the funny. *

Quite the opposite, actually.  Whenever a joke falls flat for you, you should shake your fist at the heavens and curse my name.

*Nice to meet you too*

I'd like to know why I'm not credited on this list.  I write all the silences between the jokes!

Pardon the omission:

Sean Thomason also invented Thai Fusion cuisine and parachute pants.

Exactly.  Conor writes on every Rifftrax, the poor devil.

Edit:

I managed to find some Permanent Tanooki strips that I thought were funnier.  Unfortunately, funny Blank Slates proved impossible to locate. Burn! Eat it Thomason!
