Well, last night was Conan's final show on Late Night and on a week filled with great episodes Conan took his final seat behind his desk and gave a wonderful speech thanking everyone who helped him get this far. 3 months to wait but it will be worth it. Great job, Conan

And what made that final speech so great was this one line. "We're going on to this next gig, and sometimes I read that it's time for Conan to grow up because he's going to 11:30, and I assure you, that's just not going to happen."

Does anybody think Jay Leno at 10 is going to work? Especially with a whole bunch of other talk shows on after it? And especially if they're hosted by people more talented than Leno?

Leno is not funny.  I hope Conan still does all the goofy stuff from Late Nite, otherwise it won't be the same.

Man I wish there was an  NBC station in Delaware.

Any time I see a clip of Conan he seems like one of the funniest guys alive and his Simpsons episodes are some of my favorites,but I can't see his show because there are no NBC stations anywhere near me.

I wouldn't call Jimmy Fallon more talented than Jay Leno.  Or anyone, really.

I think Leno will "work" at 10 because his audience is getting older and going to bed sooner. Also, that's 5-10 fewer shows a week for which they have to hire actors, scriptwriters, producers, studio space, etc.  Even if he brings in shit ratings, he has very little overhead. This is the wave of the future for network shows, I think.

Naw, his paycheck is the biggest overhead... that isn't getting any cheaper.

I tell ya, Conan has way too much time to go Joaquin Phoenix-crazy before he starts the Tonight Show. Somebody better keep an eye on him.

I think it will work for a while, but I don't see it lasting more than a couple years....although that is an interesting point about the cost-effectiveness of the show.  I never watched him anyways, so I don't care too much.  Conan's show was always so much better.

While I thought Fallon was a terrible SNL cast member, I can see him being an OK talk show host.  He's amiable, goofy, and isn't a stranger to live TV and celebrities.  I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.

I'll probably give him a try. See what he's made of. He probably won't be Conan, but maybe he'll bring something new to the table.

My DVR did the same thing.

Now I have to choose between Conan & Letterman... *sigh*  Probably continue watching Letterman since Conan's on Hulu.

I'm not gonna compare people who like Ferguson better than Conan to Hitler, but somebody should!
