"Step out of the helicopter or we will kill you."

Now that belongs over in the worst lines ever topic.  I liked that they offered a super high quality full screen version of it.  Looked really nice.

And yet, I believe we can agree, a 'perfect' line for a Military Officer in a 'Michael Bay' film.

That's excellent!!

I'm very stoked about this one. Coming from Michael Bay, I know it will be a very slick, high octane, polished piece of crap, and I'll love it!!!

Wow, that actually looks kinda good. I'm surprised. But, its Micheal Bay, so I won't get my hopes up high at all. I do agree that the "Step out of the helicopter or we'll kill you." line was horrible.
I am Ambassador Phantom, from the planet Krankor! I am rapidly approaching your planet... in the warship, which you have just seen. I will arrive tomorrow night at precisely eight o'clock. At that time I shall make my wishes known to you. You will obey them... or die! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

Sometimes things in the trailer are cut out of the theatrical release, so here's hoping!

Although coming from a Bay movie I'm not surprised to hear some inane dialogue.

Like I said to Conor, I'm not of the camp that is upset because it's not a true-to-Gen1 translation. That would probably be even worse, to be truthful. Go back and watch the cartoons, I mean REALLY watch them and tell me what you think.

For me, as long as it's entertaining and has huge robots destroying shite, I'll be happy. I'm not going to see a movie about alien robots to "learn a valuable lesson."

I know why they're only showing vague images of the TFs (that's why it's a teaser), but it may be detrimental at this point. I have concerns about the Bionicle look that will be hard to shake until I see it in action.

"A Michael Bay film".  Is that a promise, or a threat? I can't decide...   ;D

The thing I don't like about it is, they show too much of the transformers in the trailer. That's the problem with trailers nowadays, they show way too much. So no one is all that amazed when the robots transform. And it's just so damn hard to go spoiler-free.

...

I don't know... the Transformers look pretty lame. I mean, from the split-second, itty bitty, teeny little look that i got of them from that trailer. And there's just something about the way they transform that doesn't sit well with me either... too, minute maybe? Not blocky and heavy enough?

I don't know... i'll give it a chance. Just seems like it's less a Transformers movie and more like it was inspired by the Transformers.

I'm kind of excited. It was one of my favorite cartoons growing up (haven't gotten the box set yet).  I can't even imagine a live action movie.  Bumblebee was always my fave but Optimus kicked butt (I saw him in the trailer).

Yeah, he's a big yellow Camaro now. German auto companies won't let their designs be used for "war toys" anymore, so no VW bug. The Mini Cooper would've been a good alternative, but they're made by BMW. So the car Bumblebee transforms into is bigger than the car Jazz turns into (a Pontiac Solstice). The G1 fan in me is screaming, and I'm trying my best to tune him out.
