Jurassic Park music suggestions
« on: February 14, 2009, 10:43:33 AM »
Hi there.

A while ago I made a DVD with the original audio, the Rifftrax and the Blame Society riff for Star Wars 4. For the menus I used the Disco Star Wars theme and gave the menus some far out 70's looking fonts.

That was a great story, wasn't it?

Now I'm making a DVD with the original audio, Rifftrax and Quiptracks for Jurassic Park. Hence the title of this topic. Can I get some suggestions as to the music that plays during the menus?

There are a bunch of Jurassic Park remixes on Youtube.  My "favourite" is this one:

.
That's a scream!

I don't know what's worse: Getting eaten alive by Velociraptors, or having to listen to Disco. I think I'd take "Velociraptors" if given a choice.

I decided to go with regular Jurassic Park music, the Main Score for Menu 1, kind of a tension-y score for Menu 2, and then a pulse racing chase score for Menu 3. But sprinkled into each are random riffs from Rifftrax and Quiptracks about every 7 seconds or so. I'm quite pleased with the results.

You should have used Weird Al's song Jurassic Park.

Oh now there's an idea.

I might start doing more complex stuff after I get through the initial push.  I'm sort of assembly lining menus now.

I think I'm up to 23 menus now.

You have motion menus don't you? The next DVD I'm doing is The Happening with the Rifftrax and the Quiptrack on it. I know theres a whole section in "Help" for DVD Lab Pro 2 about motion menus, but I'm lazy and kinda slow.
