I was talking to someone the other day about religion and made a crack about aliens and Scientology and he didn't believe me about the Thetans {sob}.  He is under the impression that the religion is watered down Buddhism.  I can see some similarities but no, it's not.

I thought everyone knew about the Thetans, the most oft mocked part of Scientology.  This movie will help spread the word, like Tom Cruise isn't alien enough.

Whoah. Talk about a misunderstanding.

Ooh this is just too good to be true!!!!!

I can only imagine how funny this movie is going to be!  If it does come out, I am going to see it, for the sole purpose of heckling it!! And I don't care if the entire audience wants to kick my ass, or if I am removed from the theater, I will not go quietly into the night and let this rich nut job get away with glorifying L. Ron Quackpot!

I like how the article from stuff.co.nz calls Scientology "the bizarre sci-fi cult, which believes in alien life forms."

Too much!!   ;D ;D

It's like they're making this specifically for RiffTrax. Very thoughtful of them to provide Mike with material.  ;D

*sniff* This is so beautiful. All the world's main religions and cultures, after centuries of argument, famine, war, and the deaths of millions, finally united in these two common thoughts:

Scientology is cracked. Tom Cruise is insane.

So when it seems like everyone on this board disagrees with everyone else, let these two thoughts inspire you towards peace with others.

Merry Christmas, everyone!!! I think I may cry, here.

Wow..."Scientology: The Movie" - starring Tom Cruise and one of the "stars" of Spice World.  Wow...I mean, this must be a joke, right?  I mean, this sounds like something out of South Park.  This is just...wow.  Satire on the topic of Scientology has now officially become obselete. These guys practically parody themselves.  (As if that wasn't clear already).
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

I think we're witnessing a moment where satire actually becomes reality. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. I think all this weird weather we're having might be the result. I'm sure some universal law has been broken somewhere in all this.

Wasn't that in an episode of the Twilight Zone?  If it wasn't, it should be.  Tom Cruise would make any episode of the Twilight Zone much creepier.  And Michael Jackson would make it infinitely creepy.  I still have nightmares about that "Thriller" music video.  And not because it was good, either (because it wasn't).

Well, if any of your loved ones slip into a dimensional rift somewhere in your house and call to you longingly with a disembodied voice, you'll know why now.

theres a strange crux on the horizon.  either scientology will get some credibility bcause there is a movie about it.  or cruise will finally put the last nail on the coffin burying his career once and for all.  seriously this scares me because i know what sheep people are.  imagine if this was a summer blockbuster?  there would be all the smart people aka us, then all the stupid out there (like the ones that think the government is poisening tooth paste to keep them poor), which group do you REALLY think out numbers whom?
