Thermometers in the greenhouse were reading 113 in the shade and 131 in the sun, outside temp is 95, still a few more hours until the hottest time of day, and the next 2 days are supposed to be even hotter.

We're in the lower 90's the rest of this week but at least there are scattered thunderstorms nearby that might cool things down a bit.. :o

Today my plant shutdown from 2pm to 6pm to lower the strain on the local power grid.  I got out early from a sweltering factory to go home to an AC'd condo.
And I'm worse than Hitler.

Those storms yesterday were impressive! 30 minutes of lightning, thunder, winds, and heavy rain!
Today, the storms are around us but not moving towards my locale so now the heat is pretty stifling  :-[

A 10°C heat index?  Wow, that's some serious humidity...

Was just reading that if it doesn't drop below 70 tonight in Philly, we will break the old record of 26 days tomorrow.  Looks like it might not drop below 70 until Sunday night.  Of course tomorrow there is a chance of a big thunderstorm cooling things off for an hour and that could break the streak.

Bad idea at that height.  Would cause a massive tidal wave.

Can we at least wait a few days in hopes the stupid global warming deniers spontaneously combust?
