After they kept increasing the amounts in the forecast all day yesterday, up to 5 inches just before the storm hit, south of Philly we got about 1/2 inch.  Looks like it was a sharp line just north of the city, goes from nothing to 5 inches.

Just heard from my dad in CT, he got 30 inches, been running the snow blower all day but his road has not been plowed yet.  Fortunately he didn't lose power.

The drifts in our back yard are 5 feet.  My back door & dryer vent are completely buried.  Going to have to go out the window to get outside & shovel them out.  After I shovel out the bottom of the windows...

I remember the great Blizzard of 1977 in Tonawanda, NY (a suburb of Buffalo NY).. I was 8 years old then and I remember our house was completely buried and me climbing the snow drifts to the roof and sledding down.. Awesome!

Here's a bit of that historic blizzard from Wiki..

I remember my prior doberman Shadow enjoyed chasing snow balls and chomping them when it would have the one inch snows that Tulsa would have.  She also liked to run and dive into it.

Here is where I WANT to say I had to turn my A/C on a bit as the outside air was making my house a little warm, but I feel I should not.

Oh, too late.

Snow removal in my hometown Clinton CT about 11PM in an area off of Main Street called Post Office Square.

And Main Street itself.  In the distant dark you can just make out of the church I attended while growing up.

And I'm worse than Hitler.
