Because seriously, what better time to go complain that your cable bill is too high because of all the PPV naughty movies you ordered than during a blizzard?

Or explain that it's Comcast fault I haven't paid my bill in three months

Channel 7 just said 30+ inches of heavy wet snow here.  Wind gusts up to 60 mph.

And my wife still has to go in to work because the people who determine whether or not Comcast is open or closed are based out of Philly.
Gees! I wouldn't let her go in  :speechless:

Thankfully it's only about a 2 mile drive.  Her new boss is one of those "THE JOB IS YOUR #1 PRIORITY IN LIFE" types.
Oh I have one of those bosses too ::)

The entire Firm where I work is that way.

I left NYC at 7:30 a.m. and it was snowing pretty hard by then. Maybe half an inch to an inch on the ground. But as the train went through New Jersey it turned to rain or nothing. It was depressing, the snow looked so pretty and then it was just miserable rain. I'm really sorry it's not snowing here.

I'm glad that someone kind of gets me on the whole "snow is better than rain" thing. I feel like I'm pissing into the wind with that one most of the time, and most people would, judging by their reactions, rather live in tropical India.

I know, most people look at me like I've lost my mind when I say I like snow. There's a lot to love about it, in my opinion, and really only one thing to not love about it -- driving in it. Even that's kind of an adventure. I've never minded driving in the snow.

I have one friend I talk to (the one I write with, the one who published that book without my permission) and I just don't even mentioned snow to her, so awful is her reaction. Even if we're supposed to get snow or discussing the weather. I get tired of hearing "Ewwwww" and then a diatribe about how gross snow is.

Super windy. I know that K2 & MrTorso are without power in their respective areas. The street beside and behind my house are out as well as a good chunk of the East side of Brockton.

Hoping I can sleep through the noise of the wind and snow blasting against the window by my head.

Well, the video of my drive home came out pretty decent, so I'm uploading it to youtube now. It's hard to tell from the placement of my camera, but about two minutes in I'm almost hit by an Impala.
Post it here when you get a chance 8)

Looks like the prediction of 30+ was pretty spot on.  32 inches.

Some dumb-dumb went out for smokes despite the driving ban & launched his car into the plow drift out front.  Our neighbor "Captain Fitness" tried to pull him out in his ATV/Golf Cart/Plow thing, & I ended up shoveling the drift to get his wheels back on the ground.

K2 still has no heat or power on the Cape.  MrTorso is still out as well.

Taking a bunch of pictures anyway.  I'll be uploading them to the book face at some point.

Had to re-upload the video. I clicked the "fix lighting and stability" option, which really messed it up. So here's a little bit of typical Upstate driving. At around 1:40 I make a turn, then scoot over a few inches. That's because the Impala was just about in my "lane"
