I actually can't recall the last day it wasn't raining for all or part of the day. This is fucking miserable. I don't really care about whether or not I can see the sun, but this is starting to physically affect me--I go outside and I'm hunched over, and the whole fucking sky just feels oppressive.  At least when it snows you aren't trapped inside like this, and you go through ONE period of muddy weather when it thaws, not a constant fucking battle with mud.

I don't know if this helps, but it's not just Tennessee. It's been the same sort of weather in Pennsylvania and NYC -- days of rain and ugly dark skies. Oppressive is definitely the word for it.

I also think that because you're in a rural area you have to deal with mud more, whereas in NYC it's just trash and general filth. So in that regard it's different.

Out of work early due to the snow that's coming.

Hasn't started yet, but its a matter of time.  Supposed to get 5-10 inches here, more in the mountains.

I hate snow

Western North Carolina is kind of panicking over the snow, too. They're due to get 2-4 inches in the valleys and foothills, more in the mountains. I'm like 2-4 inches? Cripes, it has to be a fucking state of emergency before they close down where I work.

Living in New Mexico and having grown up in Colorado, I can say that the 2-3 inches of snow in a state that isn't used to dealing with it is every bit as deadly as the 3+ feet of snow it takes to shut down the colder states.

I challenge anyone who hates snow to fucking live through the last two weeks of rain here and say that's better.
What if you have to deal with both?

Yeah, we have some sunshine here, too! And the weather even threw in a few snow flurries for free, even while the sun was shining.
