Looking at the weather forecast for tomorrow here in northern Delaware, looks like the wind speeds are gonna top out at about 40 MPH, though it looks like we're in for about 48 hours of nonstop rain.

The winds have been the biggest effect in my locale..
A large limb fell from my big maple tree and hit my house about 30 minutes ago leaving a dent in my roof; can't tell if it actually put a hole anywhere cause it's too dark so I'll have to wait till morning to get a better look at the damage :-[
Here's that downed branch..

Shook the whole house like a small earthquake! :o
You can barely make out a small dent on the edge of my roof line directly above the ladder..

Not even worth calling the insurance company unless I have over $1000 in damage

So I am work now, and my coworkers are surprised to see me, because apparently Delaware roads are closed. Sure, there wasn't that many cars on the road when I came her, but sonofabitch, I could be sleeping right now!

Yeah.  Governor Markell did declare a state of emergency with level 2 driving restrictions.

Got rid of that branch and patched that hole on the edge of my roof with a spare shingle before more rain arrives tonight and tomorrow..
The roof damage wasn't as bad as I thought so that's good :o

Storm is speeding up, supposed to hit somewhere near Atlantic City at about the same time as high tide this evening.

The eye is still almost 200 miles away and the barometer at my weather station at work is already looking like this:

I guess the pressure really is dropping fast, the bottle of liquid soap next to my kitchen sink has a puddle around it....

Barometric pressure has dropped to 940mb - That's anew all-time lowest pressure storm to hit the northeast! :o
