Just had a few snow flurries fall here this morning :o
This was not in the forecast at all but it looks like the winds may have carried a few flakes from the mountains here so technically speaking, we had snow here on Christmas Day  ;D

The cold isn't supposed to arrive here until tonight.

So glad my power didn't go out since I just filled my fridge and freezer a few days ago.  About 40K people without power this morning.

I'm in Dryden NY (Upstate New York, near Ithaca) at my parent's house and we got some snow this morning and a little about an hour ago. Just enough to make it look Christmasy.

New Years Day local forecast: 15% probability of Severe weather on Friday into Friday evening as low pressure and an associated cold front move into the region. Damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes will be the primary threat.
Perfect Way to start off 2021  :-X

That is great.  I haven't had to drive on the highway after a storm in a long time but used to hate it when some idiot with a lot of snow on top of their car would get in front of me with big chunks flying off.   Even worse when they put on the brakes and the wall of snow slides down covering their windshield.

Been foggy and drizzling all day.. Now Very thick fog is reducing visibilities here to less than 1/4 mile tonight and it will only get worse after midnight and the idiots are out shooting off fireworks.
Looks like 2021 is getting off to a strange and crazy start here in the mid-Carolinas :-X

A fast-moving storm system is likely to bring snow to the Charlotte, N.C. area by Friday. The system bringing winter conditions to the area is expected to move in by Thursday night into Friday morning.
I'm located on the Wintry mix to rain borderline of this system so not sure we'll get much more than a cold-ass rain :-\

Latest model runs show the chance for snow is increasing for my area on Friday, mostly in the afternoon. .
Anywhere from a trace to a couple inches now :o

Cold 38 degree rain outside.. Maybe a few flurries mixed it but looks like all rain so far.
Best chance for snow looks like it could be after 12pm as the temperature continues to drop :o

The main snow band fell short of my locale by only a few miles..
All we got here was a few flakes mixed with mostly a very cold 35 degree rain :-[
