I am trying to keep track of the weather because I want to go to the NM state fair some time next week(and I would rather not die of heat stroke if at all possible). I was out and about yesterday in Albuquerque and even for early September it was pretty hot. I just had to keep reminding myself how lucky I am to not be in Phoenix or Orlando.

Got nothing from Hurricane Dorian except a breezy muggy day.
Rain bands got to within 15 miles east of my locale and no farther.

Temperatures are still in the mid-90s with no rain in almost 2 weeks now :o
Might cool down by next weekend when we drop below 90 :-[

Today should be the last mid-upper 90 degree day before we finally 'cool off' to the lower 90s by the end of this week and upper 80s to 90 for highs next week :scared:
We could break the record of 95 with a high of 96 or 97 today :gouge:
No real cool down in the extended forecast here till the last week of September

OH! And there's another tropical system that could be forming in the Bahamas moving into Florida over the weekend.. Not sure if it will affect our weather in the Carolinas as we could use some rains here :-\

And Finally the rains came!
Pretty good thunder storms rolled in from the northeast moving southwest around 2:30-3pm and we had a pretty good downpour for at least 20 minutes.
Dropped the temperatures some 15 degrees from the lower 90s.
