The rain last night pushed a lot of areas in PA to #1, average for the state is going to be 1 or 2, I think Philly needed a couple more inches to make 2018 the wettest so I think last year will be second place.

Were supposed to get 1 to 3 inches of snow yesterday. Ended up with 8. That much snow is not unusual for this time of year., but the forecast being that wrong is. It's supposed to rise back to just above freezing again by the weekend.

Today we got nearly another foot of snow. The plows are taking care of the main roads but I don't what we're going to do about our driveway.

Chance of snow in the forecast for today = 0%.
Snowfall so far today = 3" and still falling.
Gonna be one of those years where you can't trust the forecasts.

Yet another rainy day here in the NC/SC area but it looks like we're in for a dry spell through next week based on the 10 day forecast :o

Warmed back up to above freezing last night and rained all day today. A good amount of our snow melted and dogs are tracking in mud. Supposed to be above freezing until late tomorrow afternoon and then temps are supposed to fall to a more normal for this time of year of highs in the low teens for awhile. Shitty thing is that while the roads should be dry and OK, everything not a road will be solid ice and when things eventually thaw in the spring we'll have no grass in the backyard until whatever seed I put down starts to grow.

40 and sunny today. Was still 40 when I got home from work an hour and a half ago. Just let the dogs out and it's 20 degrees colder with very strong winds.

Snow coming into the area tonight, I don't think in the last 3 years they have gotten a snow total forecast correct so we will see what we get, supposed to be only 1 to 3 inches in my area.

Been hard to get used to cold weather again, it was way colder than normal in October-November so December seemed like springtime.  Now it's getting back to normal winter weather and it feels wrong.

We got more snow here today. Fortunately the storm is moving eastwards out of the area. I was afraid we were gonna be buried up to our necks again.

As a general rule, I actually like Winter. I like cold and can't stand heat. However, the last three Winters in a row, my water heater froze up. I have baseboard heating, which means no hot water=no heat of any kind. I don't like the cold THAT much.

It was finally determined that water had somehow gotten into the fuel tank and was freezing solid. Geez, you buy an oil tank 70 years ago, you'd think it would last  :P Actually, it's entirely possible that tank came with the house, which my grandparents bought new in 1943 for $4000 :o

Anyway, we got it replaced last Summer. We'll see if this one makes it though the winter.

Been a bizarrely warm winter here so far. We've had more days with temps above freezing than any winter I can remember. Today was just a touch above freezing all day with a light rain that coated the streets with a slick ice glaze after the sun went down and the temps dropped a couple of degrees. Forecast starting tomorrow and for the next couple of weeks is for more normal high temps every day in the low teens to single digits

Tomorrow is going to be a strange weather day, raining in the morning with a high near 50, then it's supposed to drop into the single digits in the evening.

Flurries that were forecast last night resulted in about 4 inches of snow. 1 to 3 inches of snow in the forecast every day next week. So we'll probably get none or we'll get 3 feet.

Been raining heavily throughout the night and it's currently 56 degrees here at 2am :o
The temperatures will drop throughout the day and we'll have a low of 20 by Monday morning :speechless:
