Forecast remains unchanged with the snow and ice accumulation but the difference between a few miles north or south that this storm system takes will depend on how much snow and ice we get from it..
Anywhere from a few inches to a foot or more withing a few miles of my locale is a definite possibility :o

Hope you don't get ice, freezing rain is the worst.

I guess this is all going to stay down south, a few days ago they were predicting snow here on Sunday, but now nothing.

Currently at work awaiting packages from the Charlotte USPS DC..
So far just a cold rain sleet snow mix  at 34 degrees but Charlotte looks to be getting hammered with mostly snow

Still weird weather in Wisconsin for December. Day light has been a touch above freezing every day and nights have been just a touch below. Fortunate that we really haven't gotten any freezing rain (despite some having been in the forecast) and while we still have a blanket of snow, it's been slowly melting/decreasing every day. and no new snow in the forecast for the next 14 days (which probably means we're get a blizzard some time before Christmas).

Very serious thunderstorm just rolled through, I thought there was hail but it was just really strong rain.  And a bunch of lighting hits close enough to shake the house, really surprised the power didn't go out.

Rained all day yesterday and the day before now it's clear and cold here.
We will have a last chance of rain before the years end then we'll see what the total was for 2018 :o

I'm in upstate NY now with my parents, in Dryden NY (near Ithaca). It was in the high fifties yesterday, but this morning it snowed and now we have an inch or two on the ground, and it's well below freezing. It's nice we'll likely have a white Christmas, but to call this whiplash is a bit of a understatement.

Our string of temps hovering just above freezing every day continued all this week and is supposed to continue until next weekend.
Snow had finally melted enough by yesterday afternoon that I was able spend a couple of hours cleaning up the back yard- sticks and leaves that had fallen and then been covered by snow- something I usually can't do until April.

We are currently about 10 inches over normal this year and it's pouring again today.

Edit: My weather station is 10 over normal, but the official total is about 20 inches over, normal here is 41 inches.
