Your insurance will cover the branch removal?  Is that because it did damage to structures?  When I had a tree go over in the back yard removal was not covered.

Tropical Storm Bertha has officially formed :o
https://www.accuweather.com/en/hurricane/newly-formed-tropical-storm-bertha-to-push-inland-over-south-carolina/746638
The impacts won’t change at all as the biggest threat from this here is the flooding rains.

Just did a little History checking..
Just how rare is it for two named storms to form before the official start of hurricane season on June 1st? It has only happened 4 other years! 1887, 1908, 2012, 2016 and now 2020. :o

Rains from Bertha are coming to an end here. They started after 10am as light steady rains then increased to moderate and heavy rain bands from 2 till now. Not much wind overall, just a few gusts between 15-25mph with us being on the left side of the storm center as it moved north.
Flash flood watches here locally but flood warnings issued north of me in Charlotte NC.
No official rain totals yet but I'm guessing we got around 2 maybe 3 inches here locally from the storm.

Bertha's long gone but now we're getting drenched by train of storms that are sitting over us and redeveloping to the southwest while moving northeast..
Pretty sure a flash-flood warning will be issued  :o

Unseasonably hot weather ended today when front moved in and dumped about 3 inches of rain in 4 hours. Good news is no rain in forecast for weekend and highs in low 60s- my odeal weather. Last weekend no fun due to waiting for results of wife's COVID test and heat. Really looking to this weekend.

Had another massive line of storms move through between 11:30am-12pm today. A couple close lightning strikes near the downtown post office and had to check all emergency lighting to make sure they worked (which they did).

And now there's a slight chance Cristobal could form before June 1 which if it happens would be almost unheard of :o

Memories of 2005 hurricane season are starting to come to mind on how the 2020 hurricane season could turn out :scared:

Uggghhh! Awesome weather this weekend, but rain starting Monday, then 90 on Tuesday and rain and 90s and rain forecast for 9 days in a row. Far too hot for Wisconsin in June.

They are predicting severe storms here tomorrow night, high Wed. afternoon is supposed to be 90, then dropping down into the 60s in the evening, that would be a recipe for bad storms.

90 which is 2 degrees short of a record high for this day here in June. Still might hit it.

The storms that were supposed to come through this evening just started, non-stop lighting and heavy rain for about 20 minutes.  And of course the power is out....

Power still out, electric company website and mobile app are crashing, no idea when power will be back.

Got the generator hooked up to the fridge and network and laptop, with 2 full tanks of propane I should be OK for a few days...

And it looks like another line of storms forming in central PA, great......
