Had to turn on the A/C because the 2nd floor of my house was way too warm, and it's still 75 outside....

Got some rumbles of Thunder moving over the tiny post office here in Edgemoor, SC. Power flickered a couple times :o
Heavier rains and possibly strong storms will be moving through our area overnight. .

Winter here was rather mild. Temps never dipped below the high teens and while we probably got close to our overall snowfall totals we only got maybe 3 or 4 days where it  snowed over 4 inches in a day.
Even though it was a mild winter, it's amazing how warm 50 degrees has felt this weekend. Have been wearing shorts and have opened the windows during the day.
(And by writing this, we'll probably get hit with a blizzard before the end of April- single biggest 2 day snowfall ever here happened 2 years ago during the 2nd week of April.)

Only in the past week has it started to become warmer during the day and at night. It's almost like the weather suddenly changed just as we transitioned into April.

It's horrible that millions are around the world are infected and are going to die... but on the bright side... the planet is healing itself... good? Is all that human life worth healing the planet? A part of me says no... but another part of me is also thinking of the future generations that hopefully will thrive because of pure happenstance we left them a better world than we found it.

Just had crazy strong winds come through, power went out almost immediately.

Guess I'll be breaking out the generator to keep the fridge cold, really bad time to lose what's in the fridge...

Got several spare batteries for the UPS that keeps my network running, and I'm running my laptop off the batteries that power my lawn mower with a nifty little converter that uses those batts.  I can heat my house off that little converter, because the gas hot water system only needs to run a little pump so the electrical requirement is less than 200 watts.

We were shaved by strong storms here last night and this morning. Winds have been picking up all day.
Sunday into Monday we're supposed to have ridiculous winds here as high as 60mph :speechless:

The gust that came through my back yard must have been 60 to 70 mph, never seen things flying through the air and healthy trees bending over like that before.

Looks like I'll run the generator for my fridge from 7 to 8 pm, hopefully the power will come back before I have to run it again.  I'm running for an hour and then off for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

And now it's up to noon tomorrow for power to come back.

Guess I better shut everything down and try to charge up batteries with the generator just in case this goes longer.  Only have one tank of propane left for the generator so don't know how many hours I can keep stuff going...

Winter here was rather mild...
(And by writing this, we'll probably get hit with a blizzard before the end of April...)
Weird weather on Thursday. Snowed like hell for half an hour. Enough to cover everything. And then the sun came out for half an hour and melted everthing. And then  it snowed like hell for half an hour and covered everything. And then the sun came out for a half hour and melted everything. Repeat about 8 times.
Supposed to snow 3 to 6 inches Sunday night into Monday. Not a blizzard like we got in April a couple of years ago and should be warm enough to melt everything in a day or two. Even though I've lived in Wisconsin for 25+ years now, I still just can't get used to snow in April.
