From the episode guide:

"We got a lot of Internet comment on how we didn't joke about how this movie used the Battlestar Galactica ship for the exteriors, and I have to admit, in retrospect we didn't joke about that at all. To quote the jury foreman at the end of The Producers: of this charge we are, in fact, incredibly guilty. -- Paul Chaplin."

In another post I said, "dont f**k with the Tarantula..."  Am I right, or what?  He's got the goods.

I was aware of the comment in the episode guide - that's what I meant when I said the Brains were too nice to point out that neither they nor most other people would recognize BG stock footage.  Sorry I didn't explain what I meant in simpler language.

I can answer a part of this. In the ACEG Season 8, Paul Chaplin Reflects on this episode:

Quote
As has been the case with several of our movies over the years, almost everyone in this world talks in what would seem to be an Australian accent, although we've found out since taping that the thing was made in South Africa, of all places, so this qualifies as the MST equivalent of caving in and playing Sun City. Oh well.
We got a lot of Internet comment on how we didn't joke about how this movie used the Battlestar Galactica ship for the exteriors, and I have to admit, in retrospect we didn't joke about that at all. To quote the jury foreman at the end of The Producers: of this charge we are, in fact, incredibly guilty. -- Paul Chaplin.

So was my post - the second post in this thread - was it invisible?

Are you people here arguing about a missed joke??  Can we just close this thread if that's the case? Move on, everyone, and find a real conversation topic.  Thank you.
