So Nintendo recently brought Club Nintendo to our shores. The deal is, you take the time to register all those Nintendo-Published games, you fill out surveys about them, and you get points you can spend on swag. The coolest (and most expensive) bit of swag is an exclusive collection of 3 Game and Watch games ported over to DS. Since I've been meticulously registering all my Nintendo games for years, all I had to do was fill out the surveys for the select games, and in a few short days, the DS game will be mine! :^) Thought I'd let people know since I only just found out from my brother, and I'm usually pretty in-the-loop on this stuff. :^) It's all at http://www.nintendo.com

I have been trying to log in since the stupid site launched.  I keep getting an error saying:

Due to high traffic volumes, the sign in function may not be working properly. If you are sure your username and password are correct, please keep trying.

I've been able to connect without issue each time. Just logged in this very minute in fact. Maybe it actually is the user name or password?

I tried going through and reconverting my "MyNintendo" account and it says the password was confirmed.  *shrug*

I was able to connect and get all my coins a few days ago without any problems. Filled out the surveys for all my previous games, and I'm at 750 coins...arrrggghhh! So close to the Game and watch series. Hopefully that prize won't disappear anytime soon...I don't think I'm quite sad enough to go out and buy a $50 first party game just for the prize. No, better to wait until Nintendo releases something I actually want.

Finally got it all straightened out.

I'm in and have 640 points.  (Some of the games I registered under MyNintendo didn't transfer over which was weird.  Unfortunately I don't have the registration number sheet anymore.)

So what's the "elite" prize they send if you hit 600 points in a year?

Not sure if it's the same for the US.  But I'd be all over a free steering wheel.

Sooner or later, I got do work on getting some points.  I got to get that Game and Watch 4 since I already have 1-3.

The prizes really are DS centric.  Does me no good.  Give us more Wii stuff!

Just got my Game & Watch in the mail. It's not enhanced like the previous collections, but the DS layout perfectly simulates the Game & Watch experience. The 3 games represented are some of the best that Game & Watch has to offer. Glad I have this. Incidentally, my money's on the card set to be the most collectable Club Nintendo prize. :^)

Aww. I was counting on the wheel too. I'd been holding out on buying a second wheel. Now I suppose I should plunk down the extra $10 when I get my copy of Excitebots. Doc Louis's Punch-Out! sounds cool, but I wish we'd get it on a disc or something, so I'd have something to have, but I enjoy Punch Out! too much to go for the hat. :^)
