The star wars emperor looks identical to Lieberman. I remember back in 03 when a buddy and me were discussing who would get the Democratic nod and when he asked me about Lieberman I said very seriously, "he looks too much like the evil guy from star wars".

please don't get into debate over any of this (politics aren't worth arguing about!)... but I do have one observation about the 08 democratic race... Obama - Osama (talk about a bad name for a politician

ps: Its my theory that Al Gore lost in 2000 because of Saturday Night Live

Wow, the game got Mr. Nelson's attention! Sharktopus, you should get brownie points just for starting it!  :)

HOLY CARP! I WIN THE INTERNETS!  :D

Thanks for playing along, Mike. I match your Kent McCord and raise you a Nick Chinlund:

                                                      The X-Files' Donnie Pfaster

I noticed that, too. The funny thing is that Lucas named a couple of the Trade Federation guys after influential Republicans - Lott Dod (Trent Lott, perhaps also Democrat Christopher Dodd) and Nute Gunray (Newt Gingrich and possibly Ronald Reagan).

ps: Its my theory that Al Gore lost in 2000 because of Saturday Night Live

You mean how they portrayed Bush as dumb but entertaining and Gore as intelligent but boring? I've wondered that myself.

IT'S A TRAP!

I can just hear Zoidberg as Admiral Ackbar.

"What?  We're here, but the Death Star Shield is still up, and enemy ships are behind us?  Why this is?  I'll tell you why!  It's a trap, I say!  A trap!"

The Pope

Emperor Palpatine

Of the two, the Pope actually has a much more evil-looking grin.

It's also my understanding that they both have magical powers of some kind.

Rob Schneider and Richard Simmons

And now, the inevitable comparison (avert your eyes - I've put it in a spoiler for the good of mankind):

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be in the bathroom scraping off my retinas to ease the suffering of being directly exposed to the Most Foul Photons of Doom.
