... it's easily the best of the bunch for me. I noticed that they seem to be laughing a lot more at each other's jokes and it's odd how much that seems to matter (especially the chuckling after Josh's "This reminds me of my last day at MST" line).
Without any laughing, we're watching a group of people doing a job. Maybe their job is more fun than mine, but it's still just a job.
With at least some laughing, we're watching people sitting around and laughing at goofy parts of a bad movie.
Of course, with too much laughing, it turns into a "laugh track", and that will totally ruin it. And you also have to reserve time for "the laughing", time which might be better spent with another riff. So I can understand that they don't want to overdo the laughs, but it helps to have at least a few laughs. And in the case of Josh's line, it's easy for us (the audience) to believe that the joke would strike everyone funny. In fact, if they
didn't laugh, it might come across like Josh was truly bitter, and that the others might be annoyed that he brought it up.
