My schedule screwed us. I was trying to bust out the riff before my wife and I left on a long Christmas vacation, and the final product wasn't ready for prime time. On top of that, bad weather shifted our trip earlier to get out of town beofre everything went to hell.
(If we could afford to hire a sound editor, I would right now. Are you proficient with Adobe Audition and work for free riffs? PM Me.)
I'm back now, obviously, and trying to get everything wrapped up. Meanwhile, we're talking about altering our season to lower the number of live shows so that it doesn't feel like we're shoehorning in recording sessions between live show rehearsals. The live shows require a ton more time of prep since we don't get redos at the theater.
As of right now, I'd say no Transporter or Transporter 2. Well, maybe not completely -- I'm meeting with the Englert next week to discuss the new schedule. We're probably looking at 4 live shows a year, including The Rocky Horror Picture show every Halloween.
The other secondary (yet just as crucial) reason for the change is that the collection of films available to us at the Englert has not grown as hoped, and we're going to run out of films that we really want to riff rather quickly if we don't slow down the pace. We also have a list of films that we can't show at the Englert that we realy, really want to riff.
That's all for now, I'm back to editing.
