Just got a haul from Mile High Comics to fill out my Mr. Mxyzptlk collection. He is my favorite DC villain.

Just noticed Comixology are doing daily 'doorbuster' deals.

Right now Immortal Hulk vol 1 is 99 cents, and I've been wanted to try it.

Because you all are curious about Gary Larson's return, here's a nice interview...

Sounds good to me.  I feel "one cartoon every so often" describes a lot of my favourite strips these days anyways.

I think the Star Trek/Transformers crossover earlier last year was actually really good. If nothing else, the art style was absolutely wonderful. There's an upcoming crossover with Ghostbusters and Transformers and... well, I know you're noticing a pattern here, but a crossover like that is just so bizarrely surreal I have no choice but to get it.

I am currently reading cosmic ghost rider: baby Thanos must die and it is fucking amazing. It features Howard the duck on the guardians of the galaxy except he’s called Juggerduck. He’s got the stone that made juggernaut the enemy of the X-Men.

I'm reading The Goon.  I won't deny that it tries to derive a lot of humour from calling things "girly" which seems pretty archaic these days but other than that, it is an incredibly delightful read.  The premise is that in a city that is half controlled by zombie hordes, the other half is controlled by a reclusive crime lord who runs the town through his grouchy and mean enforcer known only as the Goon, who begrudgingly helps others.  The series is largely a series of silly adventures that feels like a weird mix of the original Mad Magazine, Hellboy (who guest stars in an issue then promptly says "I'll just try to forget that") and Sam and Max.  But while the focus is mostly on the silliness, it also constantly shifts to having a cool mythology and while I wouldn't go as far as to say I care for most of the characters, The Goon gets to have reveals and moments that make you go "whoa".

My favourite being the reveal at the end of the first major arc that
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Not all of it has aged superwell but overall it is a delight.

And hey, here's a promo David Fincher produced in the hopes of a movie getting made with Clancy Brown and Paul Giamatti (both perfectly cast).

Attention Transformers fans,  Alan Quah's variant cover for IDW's Transformers vs Terminator is apparently a collage of stolen Transformers art (same exact poses and everything).

Reading old school Doom Patrol.  Its fun enough but I really like Bruno Premiani's General Immortus.
