I borrowed Red Steel from a friend.  It's not a bad game.  The graphics are not horrible, and the controls are not awful.  I actually enjoyed it.  I'm not going to buy it, but I was entertained enough to finish it quick before I had to give it back.  I was most impressed with the option to not kill people, which was rewarded.  I haven't played many first person shooters lately, but I've never seen that before.  You are rewarded for the amount of 'bad guys' that you don't kill by sparing their lives, which I give them a big thumbs up for.  It makes me excited for more first person shooters on the Wii, like Metroid, which has been getting some pretty good press.

It's almost impossible to get a Wii over here. The problem is that stock is trickling through of a rate about 10 a day!

Sounds like you might want to see a urologist about that.

I'm extremely disappointed that none of you made that joke. Tsk tsk.

I rushed right out and used a Christmas gift card to get myself Warioware today. I'll let all y'all know how awesome it is. :^)

I got my Wii today! Yippee!  After playing on Wii sports for the past couple of hours I must say - I'm hopelessly out of shape! I'm pretty awesome at Golf, though.  It's a shame that you can't play these games online.  I've also got Red Steel, which I've only just started, but I was impressed with.  I'm surprised at the negative reviews it received, citing its horrible graphics: It looks perfectly fine to me, and I feel it's slightly hypocritical of some magazines/websites to say that gameplay is more important than graphics, but then mark Red Steel down because it's plain, not because it's bad to play.

Glad you like it. Now what's your wii # Mrbasehart?  You can find out by clicking on the message button in the lower right corner of the channels menu, then write message, then address book.

Warioware: Smooth Moves is AWESOME. I've been a fan of the series and love the break-neck minigame figure-it-out-quick style, and they come up with some awesome ways to use the Wiimote. Highly reccomend it. :^)

Sounds like another game I'll have to rent.  The Wii is the first system where I've rented more games than I've owned.  There just a bunch of games that sound fun... for a while.

I visited those steps over winter break.  It's embarrassing how many people run up them and raise their hands in the air like that.

How easy is it to connect your Wii to the 'net?  I was thinking about getting a couple of those Virtual Console games.

If you have a wireless router, it's cake. Wii's built-in wi-fi finds your network and hops on board.

warioware looks too fruity and japanese. The novelty of using the controller is already starting to wear off, and the idea that these microgames aren't that challenging doesnt help. Raymonds raving rabbids does the cake for me in terms of party games, its funny, and the minigames are competitively challenging (and you dont need 4 controllers).

Nintendo needs to realize that most normal people from the rest of the world dont find cutsey highly obnoxious anime characters appealing.

Then you can get one for a decent price, or you can get a nifty little transmitter that you can plug into a handy USB port that's designed to beam to your Wii. There might be wired options as well. I haven't really looked. :^)
