I fianlly was able to get through all of Team Four Star riff of Dragonball Evolution. This was a decent riff. pretty average, with a few excellent lines. Not bad for a first riff. Joke density is okay through most of it, but lags a little at the end. Performances are good, variety of character voices is nice.
Needless to say, not as good as the Quiptracks. But definitely worth checking out.

Although at the end, you did the "OH YEAHHHH!" riff (already a cliche) twice?

Look out! He's using The Happening.

Oh please tell me her phaser is set to lesbian porn.

When you combine the suaveness of Michael Cera with the subtlety of Jerry lewis, this is what you would get.

Nice running gag about "what is a perfect wish?"

Woo, another girl. Creepmode activate.

They are playing the most mellow song on Dance Dance Revolution. Probably something from the Yanni DLC pack.

Woh! The gun is literally loaded with Michael Bay!

I'm bad two tits. You're good two tits. Goody little two tits. Goody little two tits.

Holy crap, he's alive. My bad. I was trying to cremate him.

Watched the Turkey Shoot short Fire! Patty Learns What to Do. Turkey Shoot is always great, and this is no exception. I love how the ultimate lesson for Patty is that she is useless.

"Watch the goats kid...No you sit right there in the corral and watch the goddamn goats!!"

I just watched Filmroasters' riff of Cat Women of the Moon.  Four and a half out of five stars.   It was a very well done riff and the fact that it was free didn't hurt either ;)

This riff had a lot of nice, sharp lines in it; the timing of their jokes was excellent and the interplay between the group was superb.  A couple of moments had me laughing out loud.  Even more than Zardoz, I got a real sense of group camaraderie here.  They really seemed to be enjoying themselves, riffing the heck out of this awful movie, laughing at each other's jokes, throwing zingers at the screen like nobody's business.  And the movie itself was a real dog.  Terrible acting, cheap sets and special effects, cliched writing.  In other words, perfect riff fodder.  And the spider.  Dear Lord, even for the 50's that was a bad effect.

There are a good number of sex jokes and fart noises in this riff, but unlike some groups they don't use it as a crutch.  The riff has a solid mix of both highbrow and lowbrow humor.

My only complaints are the repeated "I'm a scientist" line and I didn't laugh quite as much towards the end, though that was probably the movie's awfulness wearing on me as much as anything.  And the riff file was enormous.  It might have helped to compress the file or chop it into sections.  Other than that, great work.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this riff.  And I'm interested in purchasing more of their riffs in the future.

Some of my favorite lines:

The "In-a-Gadda-da-Vida" reference at the beginning had me cracking up.

All right, now get in the sewer!

I think the moon is stalking them.

"It works."  The moon works.

Is he wearing a colostomy bag?

"Our ancestors made one fatal error, Helen."  Carrot Top.

"Where've you been?"  Oh yeah also hi ladies who tried to kill us.

Shut up, I'm trying to go!

The reference at the end with the lost crew member.  Yeah, they seemed pretty nonchalant about losing one of their own.

For comparison (and because I haven't seen it in a while), I watched the Quiptracks riff of Dragonball Evolution. ImprESSive. Although I am regretting watching this aweful movie twice in two days, even with riffs.

Soooo many great lines in this.  Here are just a few:

Pick up the midget, and bowl him away.

God's a chicken, and he ate my feet! (still my favorite riff in this!)

Hey. I think I just won at Quiddich.

I just watched "The Filmroasters: Catwomen of the Moon!" which is available as a free download from their site.  It's okay.  Mine's better.  ;D

Can't beat that price though!  And I sure wish Rifftrax didn't have so many restrictions that hamper quality.  The video was well above iRiff standards.  Sound was good but I was pretty sure I could hear some weird background noise that sounded like it had been reduced but not completely silenced.  I was using studio monitor headphones so it's possible most people wouldn't hear it.  I wouldn't say it hurt the experience.  And the guys even filmed a silhouette of themselves watching the movie similar to MST3K.  I would be interested in seeing the addition of skits or host segments, especially for a short movie like this.  (About 1 hour and 5 minutes)

The riffing seemed like the kind of thing that most iRiffers enjoy so I think it will be well received.  I chuckled a little bit, it has a real improvised feel, and I feel like the group has a lot of potential.

They don't talk TOO much over dialogue and while there is cursing I wouldn't say it was used as a crutch; maybe just a little lazy.  I did find myself getting bored and felt that they, like many iRiffers, weren't making jokes so much as just making noise.  There is potential however and I feel like with a little bit more time spent writing this could be a really good group.

It may not be the best iRiff I've seen but it certainly wasn't the worst and I'm sure everyone else will like it so give it a try won't you?  It's FREE!

I watched an hour of the Mocktails riff of Lost World and had to turn it off. *sigh* I just found this riff rather boring. There isn't really anything wrong with it per se. I just didn't find the riffs themselves funny. The performances are okay, although they could use a little more enthusiasm. A wide variety of jokes and references, character voices. They do a decent job. I just didn't find it funny.
But what that really means is that it is more a personal thing. So I would say that if you have the DVD (and the Quiptracks riff, which is excellent) then give it a chance. Your milage may vary from my own.

Enthusiasm, or Parkinsons. You decide.

Uh, Jeff, THAT is not an armrest.

We send Eddie in. To seduce them.

Watched the Quiptracks of The Lost World. Still funny. Not quite as good as most of their other tracks, which is why they are will eventually reriff it. But still very enjoyable. Even though this is one their earliest tracks, they still have excellent vocal performances and a lot of enthusiasm. Their humor is solid, as always. Definitely recommended.

Watched the Quiptracks of GATTACA again. It's been a while since I watched this one. The riff is as funny as I remember, but the movie is even more boring than I remember. So goddamn dull and clean-freak-ish. They somehow make space-travel even silier than Rocky Jones. I am sure people at NASA laughed their asses off at this movie.
The riff, as always, is excellent. If anything, the fact it can manage to lighten up this dreary movie is a testiment to them. And the Quiptracks guys are from Kansas, so they know boring.

I think we're watching Homer Simpson get a haircut.

Do not ignore my veins.

It makes me giddy with joy just thinking about it. *sigh*

Is he transmitting his heartbeat over the PA system?

Those are Pop Rocks, you fool! Run!

The whole piano solo lyrics was hilarious!

This feeling. Could I be...in love? Oh, no, gotta pee.

Urine my thoughts... That's stupid.

My heart *ugh*! Our navigator, NOOOO!

Yes. Excellent choice, and good performance by Tracy.

It's become the definitive version in my mind. Maybe we should put it on the album...

Watched the Riff Raff Theater version of Speed.  Four out of five stars.  A good riff from these guys.  My favorite part was the Dennis Hopper impressions.  Very accurate and funny.  Too bad they couldn't get together with the Cinester Theater guys and riff the Walken/Hopper Sicilians scene from True Romance.

Some of the jokes missed and the riff got less funny as it went along, but nothing too bad.  Looking back, the riff did have some noticeable silences in it and more jokes could've been added.  Then again, the jokes did work mostly, so the silences weren't as bad as they could've been.

I found the opening music for the riff to be very annoying, especially since it was done with dialogue from the lead riffer.  I think it might've worked better to have a short musical theme (twenty seconds or less), then the dialogue.  And again I had to raise the volume high on VLC player.

Overall, I'd recommend this riff.

Some of my favorite lines:

Are you there, God?  It's me, Dennis!

(Keanu) I don't know.  The Wachowski Brothers were stupid enough to give him 206 million for the Matrix sequels.  (206?  I don't think he got *that* much for the films, but it was still funny.)

An explosion?  What the hell?!  I thought I was trying to order crazy bread!

"I wish I had some loftier purpose..." But the writers couldn't think of any.

The naked pictures of Bea Arthur and football helmet full of cottage cheese line had me laughing out loud.

"Do not attempt to grow a brain."  Advice Keanu would follow for the rest of his career.

"Fill it!" Ah, she's a gas station attendant.  No, she's far too pretty.

The Richard Schiff mention.  I didn't even notice that he played the subway driver until they mentioned it.

Wow, I think that's a reference to the movie Airheads.

I watched the Cheney Vase riff from One Wall Cinema a while back. As a riffer myself, I usually don't write reviews unless it is a strong recommendation simply because I see it as a conflict of interest to judge other riffers' work. OWC, however, seems to earnestly want feedback, good or bad, and they aren't getting any, so I decided to provide some. In past releases from them (except for Burn-E, which was great fun), I've gotten the feeling that K1 and K2 were having way more fun than I was. I appreciate that they enjoy themselves (really I do... too many groups seem to be having a bad time while riffing), but I didn't find the material as funny as they did. They seem to be moving away from that, though, as Cheney Vase is the strongest thing I've seen from them. The riffing was very funny at times, and never bad, and the enthusiasm carries it well enough when the jokes are only OK.

I liked the idea of fake ads and other segments, but none of them were executed well enough for me to really enjoy them. Most simply went on for too long. I wouldn't recommend trashing the concept for future stuff, but make sure they're direct and to the point.

Overall, it was a fun watch and a further step in the right direction for OWC.

Abduction riff by Quiptracks - Another great track from these guys! Yes, I did help on the writing, so I am not completely impartial. But I always do these writeups with the other people that will read them in mind. Quiptracks has always been one of the foremost riffing groups, and this track is a good example of why. Vocal performance is good, and varied voices are done well. A few animal noises here and there are even done impressively. They always put a lot of enthusiasm and sense of having fun into their tracks, which goes a long ways (and is the foremost thing that sometimes lacks in lesser groups). This track is one where they go all the way with a few running gags, even more than usual. In particular is the Paul Rasmus running gag, which is used a lot, but actually keeps getting funnier (a difficult feat).
