Actually yes. I was expecting at least SOMETHING about the dome.
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

Yeah, something along the lines of a title card at the end of the episode stating: "At the advice of our lawyers, the cast and crew of Futurama and its creator, Matt Groening, have never heard of nor seen The Simpsons Movie, available for sale on DVD and Blu-Ray at simpsonsmovie.com."
"Hey, you kids! Those boxes are for shipping! Not for creating a world of pure imagination!"

I loved the end with Leela and Fry. Just them reading. You didn't need to know what was written because you could pick it up in their faces. That was VERY well done.

io9 sez...
Quote
And then at 10 PM, there's the season finale of Futurama, "Reincarnation" — in which the show gets reborn as three different weird segments: a toy-driven Japanese animation show, a 1980s video game, and a Max Fleischer Betty Boop-style cartoon. We saw the whole of the anime segment at San Diego Comic-Con, and it was the greatest thing ever.

An full-on anime parody AND NOT ONE UPSKIRT SHOT OF EITHER LEELA OR AMY?

...Futurama, I am disappoint.

In actuality, though, that episode was awesome. MUCH better than the Christmas 3-parter from the first half of the season.

"Things only rhyme below ten to the minus five angstroms, you dolt!"

I really enjoyed how all three segments actually followed alternate versions of a single story in sequence.

"I've been trying, but so far I've only gotten Amy pregnant!"

I loved just about everything about all 3 segments in this episode. :^)

I also loved how in every segment there was something awesome we were supposed to be beholding, but couldn't because of the limitations of whatever medium they were using. :^)
