So everyone's bothered that Bender and the kids didn't talk to each other, but not bothered that the kids haven't aged?
I'm not bothered either but I did find it funny that they make a point to say that a certain amount of time has passed (I forget when, but I think it was a joke about how long they had been off the air*) yet not a single character has appeared to age at all.

*Actually, now I remember. The end of Bender's Big Score they are celebrating the new year.

Of course The Simpsons is even weirder in that Apu's octuplets have aged considerably yet the other kids haven't.

I'm not complaining either. It just seems like a more concrete issue.

If I recall correctly, sometime around the start of the new series they put the current year at 3010, or near that (so Fry's gotta be in his mid-30s now).

It actually works, though, since it's the Future, and considering how long lifespans have shifted upwards (Prof's pushing 170 now), their relative ages are still about the same as they should be (60 is the new 30, for real :P).

Agreed. It's also kinda scary how well Lauren Tom can do a British accent, even an over-the-top one. Amy's accent sounded so natural...

I love that the chick at the hall of presidents called Fry "Lars"... It gave me a nice chuckle.
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

Doubtful. I'm sure there has been others given the geek nature of the writers.

I wonder when this season is coming out on DVD/BluRay.

That's even cooler than the Bender cover for the last one.  Now I wish I weren't so behind on watching it (I insist on watching it with friends, and it can take a while for us to get together).

Well, the obsession came on a bit too fast for my tastes, but it was worth it for that final payoff. Another awesome episode.

Someone needs to get to work identifying all the ships in this episode.
