Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead" in Dirty Dancing

I never noticed this before, but there's a not-so-subtle political statement in Dirty Dancing that flew over my head.......I was just a kid in the '80's' though.
Robbie's character seems to be derived from his love of "The Fountainhead".

Baby asks Robbie to pay for the doctor, and he tells her that some people count and some don't.  Then he tells her to read this:

[Plastic Self-Cleaning Duck]

......and he tells her that some people count and some don't.

Ironic.  Since most of the 1980's was based on just that.
