But let's not turn this into a whole "Who Has the Most Riff Cred" thing.  I'd lose.  There's a thread idea:  "What Have You Done for RiffTrax?"

Thats not the goal of the topic...the goal is to find out how people are hearing about the site and also to hear there fan reaction.

I should have used a winking emoticon.  But it's against my religion.
Snowhead the Blue Reindeer gave me all the presents in the world.

That's the only way any one can tell that they aren't being serious on this board..it really is.
Using the winking emoticon makes it all better.

I agree.  I find it really hard to determine a person's true meaning without an emoticon.

Exactly. For example, if I said "Mr Basehart is a douchebag," feelings might get hurt. But if I say "Mr Basehart is a douchebag,  ;) " all is in good fun.

Well, I don't think you're a douchebag at all  ;)

Finding Riff Trax for me was like someone dying of thirst and then finding an ice cold beer. I had broke my back in the beginning of 2003 and had to lay on my stomach for about 5 months straight and Mike and the Bots helped me get through it.By the time I was able to enter the world again, I had no problem saying goodbye to the pain killers, but my MST addiction only grew. I've watched MST at levels only a laboratory rat could appreciate. Most of the ones I have over done it with are the later ones with Bill. I guess thats why I'm so pushy about having all three of them together....Also it would bring balance to the world. :P ..Either way I will be happy with what ever line up they choose.                                                                                 Oh yeah,... I found out about it through the Info site around the time Top Gun was new.                      GOD BE PRAISED!!!

I think it was mst3kinfo.com.  It had to be, I don't know where else I'd have heard about it.  I bought the Road House riff back when the site was still in the Beta testing stage, loved it, and have been here ever since.

I found out about this rather by accident. I was watching some MST on youtube when I stumbled upon a 3 min preview of the LotR riff he did. Needless to say, as I dug further to find a full version of this, I came across a comment that suggested this site and so here I am. I am definitly looking forward to getting some of these riffs. :-D Just gotta love it!

Hmm well sadly I heard of this place from a music bit torrent tracker site. I saw Mike Nelson Rifftrax - Matrix. I downloaded it to see what it was. I realized that it was just like MST3K but on more recent popular movies. I loved it and from then on I bought all the rifftrax I've listened too. My first reaction was almost me peeing my pants.

I've noticed that besides Satellite News and other MST-related sites, many people target customers have stumbled upon RiffTrax simply by dumb luck. I think this says that RiffTrax needs more and/or better marketing. Sure, the concept is best explained by citing MST, but I'm sure there're ways to market it to the uninitiated.

Unfortunately some of the more obvious places don't want to play along, TORN, AICN, other suggestions?
