Actors That Weren't That Bad
« on: August 18, 2008, 07:31:01 PM »
Since we have a thread about movies from the show that people think weren't all that bad, I thought we should have one about actors from MST3k movies that weren't that bad.  So are there any MST actors who you thought were pretty decent in the movies they were in?  I think Bryant Haliday from Devil Doll and the Projected Man was really a good actor, and it's a shame he never got into any higher profile films.  Joe Don Baker, while I don't think he was ever really leading man material, is a dependable character actor who can play good guys and bad guys equally well. Any others?

Colleen Gray (Grandma Flocky!) from Leech Woman and Phantom Planet.  I actually think Leech Woman might be my favorite MSTed movie.  That's a movie I could gladly watch alone, and she's awesome in it.

Despite her penchant for dramatic pausing, I think Emby Mellay was pretty decent.  And I definitely agree about Bryant Halliday.

Be sure to make it a double-feature with Wasp Woman and Leech Woman! I did  :highfive:

Beverly Garland was/is very good.  She just had the misfortune to sign a multi-picture deal with Corman.

I like anything with Peter Graves. It Conquered the World had a pretty stacked cast with Peter Graves, Beverly Garland, and Lee Van Cleef.
I really do like pie.

The woman who played the Queen in Hamlet captured Gertrude's repressed weirdness quite well. Kinda like Mrs.Fitz from American Beauty.

So, apparently if you accidentally click quote instead of modify, and then for some odd reason confirm your mistake, you can't just delete it. So...yeah.
