Whereas when I was in high school, we got to watch JFK, Schindler's List, The Wizard of Oz, The Pricess Bride, and Rosencranz and Guildenstern Are Dead. I guess my teachers were cooler than yours.
So did you just watch them or was there an actual reason that some how related to what you were learning.
Oh, and I too got to watch Rosencranz and Guildenstern Are Dead... but I also had to watch Chain Reaction...
JFK and Schindler's list we watched in history class during lessons that were topic-ly appropriate. We watched The Wizard of Oz when we were doing a joint Economics / English class about ... whatever the hell it was The Wizard of Oz was supposed to be about. The populist movement and the gold standard, or some shit.
We watched Princess Bride and R&G because our AP History class was more smart than we were supposed to be, and finished our lesson plan a week early.

We also watched some stuff like Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, but I don't count that because although interesting, it wasn't a movie that we were supposed to be watching for fun.
