I've never seen Memento before and have to say that was damned impressive. I actually rather enjoyed the film and the 'trax, though undeniably funny, wasn't overly intrusive.

An excellent track for a very good film. All of the Joey-pants related jokes had me in tears.  Kevin's "I'm doing the score" bit was kind of annoying though.

I'd never seen Memento before, and watched it for the first time with the Trax, (in spite of other people on the Forum advising against this). I loved the movie and I thought the RT was hilarious. I then spent a couple of hours reading about the plot in various forums... I enjoy it when they do a RT for more unconventional films, and it's an extra bonus when I find another film I like. I felt like that about Cloverfield, which I was thoroughly expecting to hate from what I'd heard about it, and then really liked (Memento is better however!).

In conclusion, I gave it a 10.  ;D

As one of those that was advising against seeing it for the first time riffed, let me be the first to say I'm impressed you followed it so well and I'm glad you enjoyed it on both riffed/nonriffed levels.

Alright, so I just broke my own rule of not buying the "Riffs of Good Movies" because my cousin, who's both a huge MST3K and Memento fan, heard about it and really wanted to hear it. So.

I had some chuckles, I will admit, but both me and my cousin found ourselves drawn more to the movie, and none of the jokes really stuck. I finished watching it a half an hour ago, and I can't remember anything beyond "A lot of Joey Pants jokes, and a running gag about a dead raccoon that I kind of wished you kept going because this is the only movie you could pull it off."

It wasn't painful or nothing, but it wasn't amazing.

As a MST3k fan and a Memento fan, I would definitely not recommend this one as an introduction to the Riffing-Good-Movies rifftrax.  I was very hesitant at first too.  Still am to some degree (the reason I still haven't gotten Raiders' riff).  But, Matrix 1 and Spider-Man 1 are like my favorite ones and those are good movies.  I'd say try either of those for an awesome introduction to Good-Movie-Riffing done at its best.

Haven't seen Memento yet, but the first Matrix and Spider Man riffs are two of my favorite trax as well. So far I've really enjoyed the majority of their work on good films. It forces them to concentrate their riffing on what's going on in the movie itself, as opposed to just bashing the film in general, which is very often the easy way out.

Sub-par riff. Good, but not great. There were a few moments where we laughed a bit. I found myself ignoring the RT and focusing on the movie. I'll give it another spin to see if I change my mind. A must for the completist, but repeat value isn't high for this one. 5 out of 10.

Ironic considering the film itself begs repeat views.

I'm looking at this from a comedic value viewpoint. I really feel that the team does their best work when the material they are riffing has some sort of glaring problem: continuity, plot, script, acting, etc. Memento as a whole is a pretty solid film; there's not much to poke fun at, IMO.

As most of the previous posters have said, I am quite impressed at the guys ability to make a fun riff for both a great movie and such a heavy movie.  But they did it, and this seemed like a great effort.

They seemed to actually like the movie so it was more a poking fun type of riff as opposed to this is painful torture type of riff, which is very fun.

Smart well written jokes and a good time all around

9.2 in my book
