My least favorite rifftrax to date are those of movies I feel are very well done and are good examples of what Hollywood should be investing its trillions of dollars into.  While my favorite riffs are of the stinkers.  Ma

I think you're missing my point (or I didn't make it well) I'd honestly prefer they completely avoided "this movie sucks" style jokes.

yeah, that's why I didn't really like the Batman and Robin rifftrax

IMO some of their best work has been on stuff like the LOTR movies, Raiders of the Lost Arc, and Alien.

I agree... and I'll add Casino Royale and Bourne Identity to your list.

You could really argue that they haven't done all that many truly terrible movies.  SWHS, Glitter, Wicker Man, Troll 2, Reign of Fire and Battlefield Earth are the only truly awful films I can think of.  Most others are of the dumb but awesome, big budg Hollywood smash, and really-pretty-decent-movie genres.

I'd subtract Reign Of Fire and add Crossroads.  Other than that, yeah.    :D

EDIT:  Oh... and The Island Of Dr. Moreau.  It and Troll 2 are my absolute least favorites.  Only watched either of them once and probably never will again.

What I'm trying to say is that most movies they've riffed are debateable.  Whereas with MST3K, pretty much all of them were just flat-out bad with no cause for argument, most Rifftrax'd movies have people out there that actually really like them.  I personally think Transformers was abysmal garbage, but a number of people like the big stupid movie.  Next is the same way.  It's not good, but it's so merrily dumb I kind of love it.

Though you're right, I did forget B&R.  (but I forgot Crossroads on purpose.  My love for Britney is a forbidden one.)

I strongly prefer the movies that I don't like being riffed to the good ones.

I'd rather watch Troll 2 and Missile to the Moon than Lord of the Rings or Casino Royalle riffed hands down.

I have to say that I'm liking the current wave of RT less than usual. I did really enjoy the Sixth Sense and Spider-Man 3 and Jurassic Park before that. The ones in between have been either OK, or I just didn't like them at all.

BUT I understand you can't please everyone, no matter what the guys release, some one's gonna be unhappy with the choice. I keep buying them, because I know that one in every three or four is going to be gold and appeal to me.

I also really appreciate the Rifftrax Presents line, particularly the work of Matthew, and hope we get some more of him (and others) soon!

Anyway, personally, I think Memento is the oddest choice for riffing so far, though I imagine every scene change is basically a set up... Hopefully I will be surprised!

Making what is otherwise a complete waste of celluloid into an enjoyable experience is what MST3K was all about!

This isn't MST3k 2.0.

what?! since when?

From the FAQ:

Quote
Q: Is RiffTrax MST3K 2.0?
 A:   No. RiffTrax is RiffTrax.

Memento is a good movie the first time or maybe the second time you watch it, but once you know what is gonna happen and why, it is boring to watch it again.  That's why it will work fine.
Do not agree.  I enjoy this movie every time I watch it.  I'd say the 5th or 6th time was probably better than the 2nd... but whatever.
