"There is a book you might enjoy on the subject:  The Walrus was Paul by R. Gary Patterson that goes much deeper in this."

This is a great book and offers a fantastic overview of the Paul is Dead hysteria.  BTW, the one bit of backwards masking on Revolution 9 that I think is the creepiest is the car crash bit.  Backwards you pretty clearly hear flames crackling and a man screaming 'Let me out!'.  I also think it's interesting that Manson thought that Revolution 9 was the actual sounds of the coming apocalypse.  I'd love to hear him explain why people would be playing a soccer game at the end of the apocalypse.

This is the only "backmasking" that means anything.

I think the Cuts version of "I peed a Haiku Van" made more sense.

Funny you should say that...I have met Gary a couple of times before at Beatle conventions......He does take credit for finding one on the track Blue Jay Way, which is not true, but it is still a interesting book.

I also have an alternate version of Revolution 9 which is even crazier.....lyrics like:  "His head was on fire and his glasses were insane."  stuff like that.

I can't believe the word "pareidolia" hasn't come up in this discussion yet.

Here's how you could test the theory. Anyone know how to reverse this? Of course, you could just kick back and listen to a great cover.

Your gonna have to tell me how you did that, In return, here's some healthy skeptisism. Keep watching toward the end for a lesson in astronomy and song structure.   :D
