Because Monsters are People Too: The Monster Club
« on: July 31, 2008, 10:47:58 AM »
This little horror movie romp from 1980 stars Donald Pleasance, John Carradine, AND Vicent Price. It's a bit of a tongue in cheek comedy, but has fun stories, bad acting here and there, and early 80s punk/new wave music! It also has a TON of openings for riffing, pretty much from the first title card (A CHIPS Production - Dah dah da da Daaaaaa! Starring Eric Estrada). It's a great Hammer style film without the Hammer (which doesn't hurt 'em much).

Well, it went straight to TV in 1982 or so, and then disappeared pretty much forever (at least it seems like). I thought it was pretty original, considering the soundtrack was years ahead of much of the horror movie drek of that decade. Watch it for the strip show, you WON'T be disappointed!
