You know he could have released that film 5 years ago and saved us from making the same mistake twice.

As much as I want James Cromwell to work, how exactly do you make the decision to hire a George H W Bush with a low raspy voice?

Frankly, while all of this frat boy, hard drinking, party idiot stuff is surely true, it's not really the reason he shouldn't have been elected. He was a failure at everything he did before he was President, but I don't think he would have been any better had he been a boring teetotaler. He is hamstrung by stupidity, arrogance, and a conservative world view that is ass-backwards.
Bush is, so far, the worst president we have ever had, and the most dangerous to what America stands for and how we are perceived around the world. Concentrating on all of this stuff now is irrelevant. If anything, it may endear frat boy retards to him (although they were probably going to vote republican anyway).
This should have come out 9 years ago so we wouldn't have made the mistake even once.

To be fair to true conservatives, I don't believe W is the least bit conservative in his actions or really understands what that means.

See i come from a Whig family but I can deal with actual Tories, I don't agree with them generally, but you know the world doesn't run well without the both of us really.

It's the arses that are essentially into combative tribalism on either side that actually do want a world where only one view exists that make it all so crappy.

W and his keepers are very much of that second group.

i got a kick out of the casting, Jeffery Wright as Colin Powell, Toby Jones as Karl Rove, and last but not least, Richard Dreyfuss as Dick.  It looks like it might be similar to Nixon.  Should be entertaining.  Sometime Oliver Stone can hit one out of the park.

Of course not, I think about poetry and string theory too ;D

Have to say though, I can buy Banks as Laura for when they meet, not sure how they manage aging her.

Yeah, Cromwell looks a little... meaty to be playing HW.  And I don't mean fat, just that his flesh is too thick.

This film looks 5 years too late. If they did this back in 2004, it would have been a great idea. As it is now, it's just a little misdated.
