Brotherhood of the Wolf. Best *B* movie ever?

What did you think of Brotherhood of the Wolf (aka Pacte des loups, Le)?

Personally, I liked it. So what if it takes place in 18th Century France and has a North American Indian in it who has some wicked 'On Bak' martial arts moves. Hey, its got a kick ass werewolf type creature in it that they have to catch too!

It was weird, but cool!

I liked Brotherhood of the Wolf.  Dascascos (?) is actually pretty decent in the movie, though he doesn't say much.  I did have a problem with the other guy, who seemed a complete wuss until the end, where he gets all Van Damme on people.  Seemed out of character.

It was probably the most rediculous art film there ever was.

It was filmed beautifully, had cool characters, with a hint of magic, but went so far out into crazyland that it created a whole new type of movie altogether!

p.s. it was Dacascos that did all the asskicking in this film!

I don't think calling it a ridiculous arthouse film is very useful- just because it's French doesn't make it arthouse. It's pretty unique in terms of its subject and the way it handles it, is loads and loads of fun and has a pretty cool ending, if memory serves. And Monica Bellucci is in it :) So two thumbs up from this reviewer.

I barely remember it, but I think I enjoyed it.  I actually remember cracking my friend up with my own personal riffs for the weirder parts.  I really wanted to do a RiffTrax for this one (or have Mike do it).  It's not bad, but it's silly enough to be riffed thoroughly.
Snowhead the Blue Reindeer gave me all the presents in the world.

I liked it. It was a good and fresh spin on the martial arts movie. And it had the first appearance of that "collapsable chain-sword" that has been copied in a bunch of video games.

why would you call it a B movie though? It had a good budget and it was shown in theaters. Would you call it a B movie just because it's from France and has Mark Dacascos in it?

and if it were B movie, I wouldn't call it the best B movie ever
I really do like pie.

That was the first movie I ever saw by myself. It may also have been the first foreign language movie I ever saw in a theater.

French action is strange. Give me French gangster movies any day.

I loved this movie.    It was so odd and such a combination of forms..... and it was beautifully filmed.

Oh man, PLEASE tell me you specifically are referring to Muay Thai moves and its not just a loose analogy... I'd rent a Joe Don Baker movie if you told me there was a good 5 minute Muay Thai scene in it.

Tony Jaa is so rad-badical.

I saw Crank the other day with Jason Statham and Amy Smart, and that was a pretty fun/demented "b" movie.
