Title: Mafia 9, a MST3K edition (Fin)
Post by: TeamRAD on June 05, 2008, 01:37:52 AM
I am going to be away for a few days and wanted to get a jump-start on this while I'm up this morning. The Spirit of Vengeance & Doctor will be making appearances. Are you up for another game? Then sign away...

Respect for the dead, completely...Courtney's body has until Tuesday/Wednesday to be buried properly. Otherwise, I'm sure we can find alternatives.

And until then...Seven Years Later...

WAIT.  HOLD ON.  When does this game start?  I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon and coming back on Sunday.  I'm going somewhere far away.  A strange and distant land.  Wherever it is, it doesn't have Internet.  So I won't be able to play for a bit.  Mind putting off the game until Sunday, or is there somebody else who's interested in playing?  Because if there is, I'll be happy to hand over my spot.

Oooh, Dim are you going away too?  I'm leaving tomorrow for a week.  I'm just going back home to the Land o' Lincoln, but I won't be around near as much.  But I'll make time for the game if it starts.  Priorities.   ;)

I'm just going up to my aunt and uncle's camp for the weekend.  They're celebrating their 40th anniversary, and my family more or less invited ourselves up to their place to celebrate.  But it's most likely the only vacation I'll be getting this whole summer, so I'm taking it.   ;)

I say since this is going to be a MST3K themed game we should all pick MST3K related characters to play as.  Yes I'm bored and I am stealing this idea from the Clue game.

Rules:
To keep people from fighting no one can be one of the human or robot characters from the show itself.  I'm assuming TeamRad will be using those for special roles as well.  You can only be a character from one of the movies.
Change your avatar into a picture of your character.
Change your avatar comment to state the character's name or a classic quote from them.
First person to claim a character gets it.  After changing your avatar, post here in the thread stating your name, what movie you are from (even though it will probably be obvious) and a quote if you want to.
No switching!  Choose wisely the first time!

I want to see an epic group of MST3K favorites!  Go!

Pearl: Brain Guy, send Mike the movie while I figure out this whole world ruling thing.
Brain Guy: Certainly...Mike, your movie today is...if one can measure these things, the worst thing to have ever come out of Canada. It's called, The Final Sacrifice.

(POOF!)

Seven Minutes Later...

*speaking to Crow/Servo/Gypsy*

I must confess, Pearl outdid herself this time around by having Brain Guy place us inside the movie.

*shakes head and chuckles*

A few scant moments ago, Cambot retrieved our objective from Brain Guy. Be it, with our appearance in this movie now, we've disrupted the narrative flow of it. The objective is to retain some balance to it otherwise we'll never be seeing the Satellite of Love again. Cambot quickly did some research on this Canadian treasure. According to Cam, we need to make sure some goofball doesn't get a hold of some map and raise the lost city of the Ziox. If the aforementioned event happens, he'll supposedly rule all things in this dimension that's The Final Sacrifice. The goofball goes by the name of Satoris. Cambot also noted that our sojourn would be much smoother if we went out into Calgary and found the following players...Troy McGreggor, Mike Piper, and Zap Rowsdower. Let's see what Calgary has to offer...

Seven Hours Later...

(Location: a Calgary's Little Caesar's parking lot)

No Troy, I don't own an autographed photo of Larry Csonka. What's that Piper? You've my word, I will never touch any of your food. The remainder of the Crazy Bread is all yours. Furthermore Piper, thank you for assembling a brigade of Half-Bloods for this adventure.

I cannot help it but must ask, Rowsdower, are you a makeup-less clown? You should listen to Servo, I think your tattoo needs another drink.

Well, it's about that time we venture into the countryside of Calgary and see what this Satoris cat is all about. Troy has given me the map. Everyone should know their assignments by now, but before we leave I have to pass along some very important information. Cambot just got back from doing some reconnaissance, and recorded Satoris explaining to his followers that he sent two families of three, to be represented amongst ourselves. They're the McManus and Samantha James families. That has Brain Guy written all over it. So everyone, closely watch your back. I'm all but positive they don't want any balloon animals from Rowsdower. Troy, can you please stop asking Rowsdower questions? Crow and Servo will never let you hear the end of it.

Let's start...fire up those Gran Turinos, crank the Molly Hatchett, and raise those scimitars! It's time...

*pulls black mask over face*

For the Satellite of Love and Canada...

*shouts out*

MOVIE SIGN!!!

24-hour Citizen-Vote begins...now!

(If you haven't received an assignment from me, you're a Half-Blood (Citizen)).

(Good luck to everyone!)

I change my vote to Raven.  I think he is up to something again, as usual.

Well I'm going to change my vote to Dim of the Yard.  Nothing personal Dim, trying to save my ass.  That puts her at 3 and me at 4 so far.

I don't think being in a three way tie with 2 votes a piece exactly means I'm the band wagon, so I guess Yoohoo can't count.  Thanks for making it a bandwagon yoohoo.

Crow reports: PACKERS! PACKERS!! PACKERS!!!! Have you seen the size of these spiders? Now are you glad I suggested the OFF?!?

Rack should've taken heed to it, as a parade of spiders got the better of him. This all happened shortly before I was going to ask him why he has, Aequitas, tattooed on his right index finger. He must've really had it in for Satoris.

(The Half-Bloods (Citizens) have killed Rack (Raven), who was a member of the McManus Family.)

Agent Ispep didn't cast a vote this round.

Hmmm...  I expected to be targeted early this game because of the outcome of the last game, so I can't say I'm surprised.

I voted for Flocky last round because the line "Trumpy likes sheep.  But not rabid ones." made me laugh, so I went with it.  A dartboard pick would've been only slightly more random.  His retaliatory vote change to me was not entirely unexpected since paranoia plays a part early on in the game, but repeating his vote this round has definitely placed him on my watch-list.

Ronin's vote is also noted, but I'm not retaliating because I'm more interested in bettertomorrowamy right now.  Steve-O's vote changes in round one are curious and BTA's attempt to start a bandwagon by piggybacking on Ronin's vote for me make him a suspect in my eyes.

I vote for bettertomorrowamy.

I vote for Bairman (bandwagon. and you really haven't proven you is a citizen)

That's a weak argument at best.  You haven't proven you're a citizen either.

My first vote was random and my second was flimsy suspicion.  At this stage of the game there's no way to prove I'm a citizen any more than anyone else, so it looks like our chances of nailing two Mafia in a row are quickly slipping away.

Sorry Bairman, that whole last line is a huge cliche that practically all Mafia say.  Raven tried the same sort of ploy and desperately changed his votes to save himself.

I vote Bairman.

Yeah, I have to go with Bairman as well, because of this comment:

Steve-O's vote changes in round one are curious and BTA's attempt to start a bandwagon by piggybacking on Ronin's vote for me make him a suspect in my eyes.

This Steve-O?

Quote
Pacey (Steve-O/Half-Blood) was killed by the McManus family.

Seems a bit odd to be trying to direct suspicion towards someone who's already dead and a known citizen.

*picking apples with Crow*

It's tragic with what happened to Rack, Gracie, & Pacey...but it seems like we've the upper-hand on Satoris' thugs. We can assume the Samantha James family is extremely efficient with Nerf weapons, but come on, Nerf?! The McManus Family, they've some firepower, but Servo went back into Calgary to place something together for us. We'll fight fire with fire...Crow, did you hear that?

*a mumbling comes from a nearby tree*

Magnificant, you've never seen anything until you see the Sun through the rings of Saturn.

Crow shouts: Oh my god, why's he here?!?!?!

Crow, he has Grimley's head!!!

RUN!!!

Grimley (Bairman) was killed by the Citizens. He was a member of the Samantha James Family.

Mafia families, mount up!

Natalie Burke & Ortega didn't cast a vote this round.

The two remaining McManus family members speak, The blood of the wicked shall flow like a river. The three shall spread their blackened wings and be the vengeful, striking hammer of Satoris.

If you look at my past games I rarely, if ever, vote with the mob.  Not unless I have a good feeling that the person they're voting for is mafia.  I just don't want to contribute to accidently killing off citizens.  So, until someone can bring some compelling evidence against someone else as being mafia, I'm sticking with Pak-Man.

I'm voting for anais.jude.

Since we all know of the "Who's Online" section of the forum, I can actually tell you my reason for voting this way.  I've been hanging out in there every once and awhile and recently I have seen anais.jude and Tripe sending messages.  I saw each of them send 2 in fact within a period of a few minutes.  Now this is by no means hardcore evidence as they could just be talking to people or maybe they're even the informant or vigilante.  I don't know.  In previous games I almost always saw Tripe send a message, yet he was never mafia.  He just liked sending PMs.  Due to this I am not as willing to all out accuse him.  But I have not seen anais.jude send messages before and so I am more prone to believe she is mafia.  Now I know there is no way for me to prove this to you all so I'm not saying you have to vote with me.  Nevertheless with what I have seen I believe anais might be mafia, and this is something for me to go on.

Gotta be careful with that.  I'm pretty sure that's what may have gotten me killed last time, and in my defense, I was messaging back and forth with Josh about X-Files.  In Bairman's defense, I was Mafia.  So it worked out for him.  Huzzah.

It's very crazy, you two. Cambot has confirmed that Brain Guy is somehow managing to superimpose characters from our past experiments into this movie. Pearl must be doubting Satoris & his crew if she's having Brain Guy pull off this maneuver. So who knows what to expect from here on out...

Father Mushroom: Hi! Do you get bored, because I get bored.
Tully: You get bored?
Father Mushroom: I get bored. Come play with me.
Tully: With you?
Father Mushroom: Would you like to play a game? If you are victorious, I'll grant you a prize.
Tully: Why not, eh...

*Father Mushroom summons two original Game Boys with Tetris*

Father Mushroom: Are you ready?

Seven Minutes Later...

Father Mushroom: Well, my friend, you were a worthy foe, but you need to brush up on your skills.
Tully: By chance, can I still receive a prize, eh?
Father Mushroom: Sure, why not?

*Father Mushroom summons a cudgel*
*swings at Tully*

Can you answer this for me please, is this empty can of Old Milwaukee from America?

McManus = The Boondock Saints
Samantha James = Just Friends

Both films had productions in Canada for which both families had to have for me. It's been my goal to make the game as faithful as possible to Canada and MST3K.

And like the above movies, the families have taken on the nature of its narrative.

Alright, so no one is being quick about the next series of votes, and it is taking more time for me to decide even as my short list of elevated suspects shrinks.  Taking a wild stab, I'll go with a vote for Agent Ispep.

My vote goes for A Pretty Girl Is Like.

I'm willing to believe anais' explanation for her and Tripe's message sending last round.  And while you all have no reason to trust me, my method did work on Raven.  That's why I voted for him first round.  I am confident enough to vote for A Pretty Girl Is Like.  I very strongly believe he is mafia.

I'm really definitely not Mafia this time.  The thing that sucks is I still don't know how to prove it.  I'm more talkative this game, yes.  But it's also my second game and I'm more comfortable (being Mafia in my first game was kinda scary).  Now it's Game #2, I'm a citizen, and I can kind of relax.  I was on vacation back home the first two rounds, hence why I didn't vote in the second.  My Greg vote was both retaliatory and a hunch, but mostly the former.

I don't know who I'm voting yet.  I need to think about this one a bit more.

I'll use your reasoning to vote for anais last round to try to prove my innocence.  If you have been hanging around at the PM center thingie, you've never seen me there.  That's because I have no reason to be sending PMs to anyone.

Also I shan't be retaliatory voting against you as an olive branch.   Please consider changing your vote as it would be wasted on a citizen/half blood.

I'm reserving my vote for later.

I'm not as willing to buy the "somebody can't be in the Mafia for three rounds in a row" thing, as everything is randomized, but I'm not going to vote for Ispep.  The initial vote for him was a very haphazard vote, and with two Mafia members left in the game, even if it is quite early in the game, taking a shot in the dark isn't the way to go.

I'd like to hear how Yoohoo came to suspect A Pretty Girl Is Like.  He sounds very sure that APGIL is in the Mafia, and I'm curious to hear why.

Gladly.  As I said last round, when I have had time (as I've done in previous games) I sometimes take a gander at the "Who's Online" section of the forum.  Most of the time it just tells you what threads people are looking at and I use it to see what the hot topic of the day is.  During the very first Mafia game, however, I found that it also had some investigatory uses.  It would tell me that a person was "Viewing their Messages" or "Sending a Message".  After my little secret was revealed a few games back it has become less helpful as people have turned themselves "Hidden" so I can't see any their activities.  But recently it seems a few people have decided against that, as that also leaves a bit of a trail.  So right before the game started, I was in the "Who's Online" section looking around fort a thread to view.  Then I saw TeamRAD aka Mike was sending messages.  I assumed this meant Mafia was going to begin and that he was sending out roles.  After awhile he stopped sending them and I just waited and watched.  That's when I saw Raven "Viewing his Messages"  and I also say Greg do the same thing.  Now I wasn't sure about Raven as it could have easily been that he was a doctor, informant, or vigilante but I decided to vote for him anyway.  I ended being right and he was killed by one vote.  Now I wrote Greg down but let it go as he was doing his List of Crap Candy and I was thinking that he was just possibly looking at a list someone sent it.  Shortly after Greg, I saw A Pretty Girl Is Like "Viewing their Messages".  That along with his behavior this game has been very suspicious to me.

All these posts seem way over the top to me.  Plus despite his happy verbalization of the death of the mafia, he hasn't voted for a single confirmed mafia yet.   His behavior, on top of my own, flimsy as it is, "evidence" have convinced me that he is mafia.

Of course, APGIL could have been sending in his list too. Also, if you checked "Right before the game started," the mafia members wouldn't have known they were mafia yet...

That said, there's not much else to go on, so I suppose I'll throw in a bandwagon vote for A Pretty Girl is Like unless something significant comes up.

Mr. Basehart voted consistently for Dim (looking at my notes I don't see a vote for him in round three) but this round is voting for APGIL
I voted for Ortega, then Bairman, then James of Linhood, and this round Ispep
anais went after Raven, then Bairman (in turn taking out a member of each family in succession) didn't see a vote since, did I miss any from you?
APGIL voted for James, me, and Pak so far
Tripe voted for James, Basehart, back to James, then Yoohoo
Yoohoo voted for Raven, then Bairman (see anais) then anias (whoops)and now APGIL
Courtney changed her first round vote from James to Raven, didn't see a vote for round two, then voted for Greg (a McManus) and now APGIL
JewCarp went after Dim, Bairman (Samantha), then James
dignan took on Courtney, flocky, and Pak
Compound voted Dim, skipped round two, then voted Tripe
Ispep skipped round one, then voted Dim, Pak, and this round changed from Courtney to Yoohoo
Ortega voted Raven, skipped, then James
BTA wentt after Steve-O, then Bairman (Samantha), then James
Tank voted dignan twice in a row then James
Pak went from James to me back to James and now APGIL
and Dim went Courtney, Ispsp, and James

Anyone see any mistakes there let me know

Forgive the double post, but I forgot to vote, and if there's one thing that makes people more suspicious than anything else, it's editing a post.

I do not think that A Pretty Girl Is Like is in the Mafia.  However, I also did not think Raven and Bairman are in the Mafia, and I was pretty sure James was.  This has told me that I should not trust my gut in this game.  In that case, I vote for A Pretty Girl Is Like.  Sorry, Apgil.

I'll go ahead and confirm that feeling for you, jc.

Samson is glad you can't see his tears through his mask sweat.  :'(

Last ditch effort time:

I'm not the only one celebrating after the mafia losses.  Just off the top of my head, Pak Man, jc and Courtney have all pretty much done whoohoo posts after positive citizen votes.  And the reason I've been more "talkative" this game is the same as Courtney's.  She and I were on the same mafia team our very first game.  That was quite stressful actually.  It's my second game now and I'm not mafia so I had no worries until this round.

And again, I dare anyone to "catch" me on the PM center thingie.  Double dare even.

Sadly, I'm going to have vote for Yoohoo to try to save myself instead of voting for Torgo (Tripe) like I originally wanted to.

Samson votes for the shame of the Connery clan.

He's truthfully stating that you can't* be sure of anyone in this game.  Help to kill too many mafia, and you're too good to be a citizen.  Not kill any and you're too bad to be a citizen.  The only way to survive in this game is to be moderately competent.

*EDIT: I put "can" here the first time instead of "can't".  I also put "I am Mafia and will kill you all" instead of  "competent" so this edit was just to fix my spelling.  There's nothing sinister about this post edit I assure you. :P

Woo Hoo, I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about!

What the hell is The Hills?

It's a blonde twatty "reality" show on MTV that the kids today seem to like.  Everytime I've seen anything from it, it's just vapid girls staring at each other while pop punk music plays.  I think that's the whole show.  It's like a really terrifying social experiment.

Believe me, you're better off not knowing of its existence.  It hurts me to know it's out there.

Anyway... Mafia then!  Back to the game!

*Buddy Cole's stumbling around the forest after a late night with the Moosehead*

BC: I never should have listened to Mike & Grocer, and why didn't anyone pack any aspirin?

*30 feet above Buddy, in a makeshift stand, the lone McManus member drops a toilet*

*branches are falling as BC glances upward*

BC: This isn't good.

*CRASH*

*BC's body collapses swiftly*

The McManus family went medieval on Buddy Cole (Courtney/Half-Blood).

*Marty & Lucas James singing the chorus of Corey Hart's opus, out-loud, while riding in their pickup truck back to Calgary*

So if you're lost and on your own
You can never surrender
And if your path won't lead you home
You can never surrender

And when the night is cold and dark
You can see, you can see light
'Cause no one can take away your right
To Fight and TO NEVER SURRENDER

Lucas: You've to be kidding me, is that who I think it is?

*Rowsdower stumbling alongside the highway after his night w/ the Moosehead*

Marty: Lucas, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Lucas: That Maggie's pretty hot? Of course!
Marty: No silly, that it's Rowsdower season.
Lucas: But I've been told the meat is kinda gamy.
Marty: Let's do this!

*Marty increases the speed of the James' pickup truck*

Rowsdower: What? No, SHERRY!!!

*the James crash into Rowsdower as he rollsover the truck and into the bed of it*

Marty: Wow, how convenient!

Zap Rowsdower (anais.jude/Vigilante for the Half-Bloods) was killed by the Samantha James family.

You have!

Well he was also really pleased to have the support of one of the blonde twats from The Hills, so nothing shocks me anymore.

Whoa, I feel compelled to add that I just asked a friend of mine about The Hills yesterday, and after she told me what it was, I joked that I was going to check it out since I was feeling like I'd been experiencing a distinct lack of whiny twats in my life for some time now.

Save yourself the trouble and just go into bettertomorrowamy's profile and view last posts.

Fixed it for you.

I'd lash back at BTA, but he's on my list of "not as likely" suspects.  I'd also considered voting for Ortega as his late vote for someone who just got declared a citizen seemed weird, but I'm going to stick to my system and pick among the names I've been narrowing down.  I vote Tripe

Well, looking at the leading candidates, I'm not really happy with any of them, especially me. But I'm voting for Tripe. Why? Because everyone else with two votes has voted for a mafia member at some point in the game. It's a thin reed to grasp at, but I'm grasping at it.

While the nucleus of Team SoL/Canada is drawing nearer to Satoris' headquarters...Charlie was led astray by memories of the past.

Charlie: Muskrat? *glimpses down at the butchered muskrat*

*seven-yards later*

Charlie: Field Mice?

*shortly thereafter, as the scent of the bait thickens, Charlie stops to pick up the remnants of a skunk*

Charlie: What the...savages, eh? *shrugs his shoulders*

*Marty appears, two feet in back of Charlie, with his newly acquired space weapon from jumping Thor earlier in the day*

Marty: Satoris was right, the fox changes his fur but not his habits.

*ZAP*
*BUZZ*
*ZAP*

*Marty looks down at Charlie's skeletal remains, opens up the book, Fox in Socks, and reads out loud*

Now wait a minute, Mr. Socks Fox!

When a fox is in the bottle where the tweetle beetles battle
with their paddles in a puddle on a noodle-eating poodle,
THIS is what they call...

...a tweetle beetle noodle poodle bottled paddled
muddled duddled fuddled wuddled fox in socks, sir!

Fox in socks, our game is done, sir.
Thank you for a lot of fun, sir.

*drops book on Charlie's skeleton*

Rice: Knight Rider, a shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist. Michael Knight, a young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law.

*all the while, from several yards away,  the lone McManus family member loads a M27 grenade launcher and says the following*

And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, Satoris, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.

*KACHUNK*

*BOOM*

*there isn't anything left of Rice's body*

Rice (mrbasehart/Half-Blood) was killed by the McManus family.

No, I don't think we'll be heading that way, thank you.

Hi there. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name's Mike Piper and I'm the Spirit of Vengence. I'm one of the specials in this little game of ours. And I've got a really simple power - If I get voted out, one of you goes with me.

Let me make the math real simple. There's 7 of us right now and 3 of them.
Vote me off? 6 of us. 3 of them.
I explode. Chances are pretty good that I hit a citizen. 5 of us. 3 of them.
They do their hits. 3 of us. 3 of them. Game over.

Go ahead. Vote for me. Call my "bluff".  We'll lose. Ball's in your court, folks.

While you might be telling the truth, I've just figured out that you have set your profile to "hidden".  I don't really see why the spirit of vengence would need to hide their movements, especially since they don't have to make contact with anyone.  I'll vote Compound as well.
Title: Re: Mafia 9, a MST3K edition (Live)
Post by: Compound on June 21, 2008, 12:52:34 PM
My profile's been set to "hidden " since it was revealed that people were using the "who's online" feature to track movements in the game back in game 5, regardless of the role I'm playing. And I'll be hidden in the next game as well whether or not I'm Mafia.

I've played in other Mafia games online and frankly, it's generally encouraged for all players to do so precisely so people can't tell if you're online or not. It's the internet equivalent of making noise during the Mafia votes in a FtF game so that people can't hear if the guy next to them is moving during the night votes. It may not be required here, but I'm going to do it nonetheless.

Crow, have you seen Rowsdower lately? I need to discuss something with him?

*Crow looks up to Mike*

Crow: Rowsdower? Oh, he was getting all weird. He started babbling about how he was actually Mike Piper, the Spirit of Vengeance, in conjunction with psycho-babble on how life's a bitch and she's back in heat & he's so quick he could spit in the wind...duck...and let it hit the old lady behind him. So the gang, sans Troy & me, took him...thataway...to....calm him down, Mike.

But....his name's Rowsdower...
Crow: That's his stage name. Look Mike...here's the latest issue of "Spirit of Vengeance Monthly"...

*Crow hands over the magaznie*

Crow: That's him on the cover.

That's an awful picture of him.

Crow: The camera adds 10 pounds.

It looks more like 40, Crow.

Crow: True, but wasn't he wearing his leather jacket with "Mike Piper: Spirit of Vengeance" on the back, earlier in the day?

I was under the impression that had something to do with the animated film about a horse.

Crow: And didn't the "I Love Mike Piper: Spirit of Vengeance" parade pass by here earlier today? I remember that 20-foot tall, paper mache recreation of his head. It was very festive. Look Mike, he started speaking in jabberwockies about seeing "them" among us and tried to get us to wear those sunglasses.

Oh no, Crow, you put them on, didn't you? Because, he's got a thing about those glasses...

*from 15 yards away, a halloo becomes present as Mike runs to the happening*

Piper: PUT ON THE GLASSES, VARMINT!
Monty: LOOK OUT, HE'S GOT a.......I don't know what that is BUT RUN.
Piper: HELL'S COMING RIGHT HERE FOR YOU!
Gord: SACREBLEU!!!!

*CRACK*

Uhhhhhh....that didn't look good.

*Mike turns his head away*

Mike Piper (Compound/The Spirit of Vengeance) was killed by the Citizens.

Levenstein's at a gas station, that Frank Lloyd Wright didn't design, to get a Coke before he ventures back into the Northwoods...

Levenstien mutters to himself: I'm going to drink the hell out-of-this Coke.

Levenstein: ...and I'm sooooo baked.

Troy is gathering supplies, from his high school locker, for the project he's assembling for Odyssesy of the Mind...while the lone McManus member quietly approaches him.

*the McManus member pulls out a copy of "The Silmarillion"

McManus: Their Oath shall drive them, and yet betray them, and ever snatch away the very treasures that they have sworn to pursue.
Troy: Tolkien!! *turns his back and drops supplies*
McManus: Get in the locker.

*Troy somehow fits into it*
*McManus tosses the book & a package of Pace taco seasoning mix to Troy*

Troy: Pace?
McManus: It makes for a better taco.

*McManus slams the locker shut*

Seven Seconds Later...

*McManus opens the locker and aims the deagle toward Troy's forehead*

*suppressed bang*

Troy McGreggor (Ortega/Informant for the Half-Bloods) was killed by the McManus family.

"Evil in my eyes"?  The only evil I committed here was an attempt to get the ball rolling on this round.  (That, and hardcore sucking.)  Guess I should have picked a better direction than "up a very steep incline."

I may be horrible at this game, but I am not in the Mafia.  There have been many times during the Mafia round where I have not been on the forum at all, due to my summer courses, and I have not sent or received a PM since shortly after the game began (And the subject was fairly innocent, as well; Tripe wanted to see my vacation pictures).  I have also been playing this game very carelessly, not even rationalizing my votes anymore.  Not exactly the careful, calculative moves that a Mafia member who has made it to the end of the game before would make.  I'm just being true to my name.

However, if I did want to accuse you, I should probably do better than a simple "Fuck it," especially at this stage in the game.  My attempt to spark conversation was very poorly conceived, when a simple, "Well, anybody else got any bright ideas?" would have sufficed, rather than accusing somebody at random.

tl;dr- I'm not in the Mafia, and I don't hate Jews.

I withdraw my vote for JewCarp, because I fold very easily under pressure, and I don't want people to think I'm anti-semitic.

Well, now that I have your attention, anybody else got any bright ideas?

At the camp, Monty is awoken...

*Monty rubs eyes*

Monty: Was that a giant pickle capering alongside the camp? It couldn't be.

*rubs eyes some more*

A Voice, From Nearby, In the Forest: Boy, am I glad to see you!
Monty: Who's that talking?
Voice: What do you mean, who's talking? It's me, Mr. B Natural, the 2nd tree from your left!!! Maybe we can make things a little clearer here....

*Mr. B appears*

Monty: Mr. B, you're kinda hot.
Mr. B: Let's get acquainted, Mr. B Natural at your service, the Spirit of Music, that's me! I have received your message for help...

Seven Minutes Later...

Mr. B: So what do you think, Monty...are you ready to live your rockstar fantasy?

*Monty nods*

Mr. B: Are you ready for a world where the girls come easy and the drugs come cheap?

*Monty enthusiastically nods*

Mr. B: Furthermore, be able to hang out in the coolest bars and in the VIP with the movie stars? If so, let's get a start on it!!!

*Monty grabs the keys to one-of-the-four Gran Torinos, with aspirations to get to Calgary as quickly as possible to begin his musical adventure*

*jumps in car and accidentally places it into "Drive" in lieu of "Reverse" while stepping feverishly on the gas*

*the Gran Torino slams into a ginormous oak tree, Monty's body flies violently out of the windshield and crashes into aforementioned tree*

Monty: I wanna be a rockstar.

*takes last breath*

Mr. B: Well, it's off to my next call...and remember...the spirit of music is in ALL of us!!!

Crow, in a very Swazyesque mood this morning, wishing it were Christmas-time and singing...

Open up your heart and let the Patrick Swayze Christmas in.
We'll gather at the Roadhouse with our next of kin.
And Santa can be our regular Saturday night thing.
We'll decorate our barstools and gather round and sing...

Oh, let's have a Patrick Swayze Christmas this year!
Or we'll tear your throat out and kick you in the ear!

*Lucas, brushes his hockey-hair and unobtrusively approaches Crow from behind with a hockey stick*

It's my way or the highway, this Christmas at my ba-ha-haar.
I'll have to smash your kneecaps if you bastards touch my car!
I got the word that Santa has been stealing from the till.
I think that that right jolly old elf better make out his will...

Oh...let's have a Patrick Swayze Christmas, one and all.
And this can be the haziest...
This can be the laziest...
This can be the Swayziest Christmas of them ALL!!!!!!!!!!

Lucas: HERE'S THE SHOT.....

*Lucas swings and Crow's head soars 20 feet*

Lucas: ...and GOAL! There's the hat trick and the new goalie mask for the gang!!

I'd like to say thank you to my Mafiamates Bairman and dignan for helping me win during my first time as mafia.  :highfive:

But the person I owe the most for this win is, of course, Dim.  She believed in me early on when I helped kill Raven and then voted for Bairman to give myself a flimsy alibi.  She even defended me then against the onslaught of Tripe and his damned logic.  Most importantly however, being a vigilante she helped to exonerate me in the most crucial of rounds.  Dim, my dear I couldn't have done it without you.  :-*

A few things I want to clear up:
I did see APGIL check his messages and I was pretty certain it meant my death when it turned out I was wrong.  I really put all my eggs in one basket there.  Thank goodness you all are so forgiving when someone Pied Pipers you into killing a citizen.
After the first few rounds I had no idea about the other mafia family.  I was convinced it was Compound, and then at the end I was sure it was Dim.  When JC asked for the other mafia member to reveal themselves I thought he was the vigilante and was trying to trick the mafia into giving themselves up.  I was certain of this because he asked for the other mafia to reveal what family they were in.  That was very odd.  I'd like to thank BTA for coming back from the grave to accuse me there so I could, once again, prove to Dim that I really wasn't mafia.

Thanks for letting me live (and win) through one everybody.  I'm pretty sure it will never happen again now.  ;D
