Neat.  Personally I'm more interested in the DVD version of this club www.swapadvd.com.   I've got copies of Point Break, XXX and The X Files movie that I'm never going to watch agan.  Plus plenty of others I'm sure.  Anyone use either of these services?

Yeah, they work great.  If you aren't satisfied with the shape of the disc you get you just tell them and you don't lose your credit.

Sweet, I'm going to try this.  The wife will like the book swap, she has paperbacks all over the house.

Thanks for telling me about this!  I just sent out numerous DVDs and books earlier today, it seems like a good system.  The only drawback I see is that on the DVD side, most of what is available is total dreck and any movie or television show that is halfway decent has a long waiting list.  I did see numerous movies that have been done on Rifftrax available though (Point Break, XXX, Crossroads, LOTR, House of Wax) so it could be another cheap source of DVDs for those that insist on having an original copy.  My profile on Paperbackswap and SwapaDVD is sheikyerbouti.

Yeah, I only use it for paperback books.  There is a huge selection of those.  They just recently started the cd and dvd parts of the website, so maybe the selection will grow.

I use both http://paperbackswap.com (http://paperbackswap.com) and http://swapadvd.com (http://swapadvd.com) & have had good results there.   If you don't like the "fixed" pricing at these sites you can try switchplanet.com (http://switchplanet.com)  for book, dvd, cd, & game trading.   No transaction fees for any of these sites.   Is nice.

edit to add:
Switchplanet doesn't have a lot of book trading, but it does allow you to set up private group trading,  So if enough people were interested we could make a Rifftrax group and have our own cartel of RT titles.

Er I'd love to sign up for this but it would mean giving away some of my books and that would never do, they're mine all mine.

Seriously I don't think I own any books I'd want to part with.

I'm guessing you've never had to MOVE, have you?   ;)  Moving all your crap across country really forces you to reevaluate what you should actually hang on to.  If it's been sitting in the attic or basement for more than ten years, you aren't ever going to look at it again, in reality.  I can't tell you how many comics I got rid of when we moved.  I don't miss them.

I know what you mean, though.  I get attached to certain books and I'd never part with them.  However just looking through my collection I found a couple of dozen I knew I'd never read again, it was easy to list those.  Might as well give someone else a chance to enjoy them.

Try moving across the Atlantic Ocean ;) and I still kept all my books. :) I did discard a few free weights and a sit up bench.

Well that's dedication to your books, I'll give you that!  One thing I discovered in a hurry, books are heavy!  And they take up a hell of a lot of room in a moving van.  Most of the books we've got listed up there right now are paperbacks my wife bought.  Nora Roberts and stuff like that.  Believe me, they are disposable.

You were dissing Nora Roberts. I thought it was snap-worthy
