Title: Rank-a-Field
Post by: Insert Coin(s) to Continue on April 23, 2008, 05:25:06 PM
Rank it.

I have to say 6 / 10 for this one. It didn't really have many memorable moments. No belly laughs throughout.

I'd give it nine stars. This one really clicked with me for some reason.

I gave it an 8/10 It was great, but some of the jokes were like your parents making fun of you and your friends

I gave it the 5/10. Really wasnt impressed, it actually angered me. We all have that one movie or two, that you think shouldnt be riffed, well this was mine. I did go into it with some confidence that they must have done a good job on it, but I thought it was very mediocre. Sorry guys, really fell flat with me. Think this it the first time I given something less than a 7/10.  :-\

8 out of 10.  Good riff, especially the last half hour.  First time seeing the movie, and i have to say it really is bad.  The whole hand held camera thing is a terrible decision for any major motion picture.  The movie would have been good had it been filmed in its tradtionaly style.

I'll give it an 8. On the movie, I can't stand a movie that doesn't tell you the big picture is (2001 an exception). Sure, after watching this, I jumped to imdb to figure out the big picture (sea creature, fireproof, the meaning of "Cloverfield").  Maybe a short intro and coda could've helped it. If I ever see this movie again, it'll be too soon. Maybe once every six months, and with the RIfftrax.

Love the movie itself, was skeptical as to whether or not it would work as a riff. I was pleasantly surprised by it's funny- not a lot of BELLY LAUGHS, but a lot more actual "HAH"s than your average riff. Good job, sirs. 8/10, added another layer of enjoyment to a great movie.

I don't know if I can tolerate watching this film ever again, even with the Rifftrax. I must say the preview video made me laugh a lot. Maybe if someone is giving away free copies of Cloverfield at a local wal-mart or something I will consider getting the rifftrax.

This is a great Rifftrax. It really worked for me. And the short run time of the movie makes this an easy one to pop in when I need some laughs.

7/10.  A few good laughs, mostly near the end, but the riff never seemed to get fully on track.

I've had other comments elsewhere, in the Twenty Questions section.

I went with 8/10.  First half hour was a little chaotic with the riffs going right over the dialogs, but the last half hour was filled with some amazing riffs.  Good job dudemanbrahs!

I say 5 out of 10. One of my least favorite trax to date. Nothing memorable, bland overall. I even watched it twice cause I thought I missed something.
Oh well, looking forward to I am Legend.

9 - An excellent rifftrax for anyone who isn't a dude or dudette.

Since I LOATHED the movie and think it is the Emperor's New Clothes of Cinema, and I loved the riffing, I gave it a 10/10

Of all the weird things, this riff reminded me of Hulk Hogan.

My friends and I occasionally break into fits of mocking Hogan's speech patterns, where everyone he talks to is either brother, dude, or man.  Just shorten brother to bro for this riff and you got it.

I'll agree that this riff didn't have many huge "holy crap" laughing moments, but it was a very constant stream of funny, almost to the point of exhaustion.  I'll give it a solid 9 for that.

A unique combination of hilarity and nausea.  One of the better riffs.  Are the ones who didn't appreciate this one are 20 somethings who are part of the stereotype?  Dude, it was funny.

Negative, at least not for me.  I thought this movie was garbage to begin with, but I guess I was just expecting too much dude.
Now I have to go go go go go move move move move move.

Mind you I usually, ok always drink and other things whilst watching a witty w-riff, I just didnt think it was funny. Now I do remember getting very nauseous during this viewing(I didnt in theaters), which considering what I was doing besides drinking, makes me think this movie is worse on the small screen. I might not have even been the riffs fault, I just think it was the wrong type of movie. I try to think of other examples instead of blair witch, but basically movies like this and bwp, just arent the right kind of movies to riff.

It had it's moments....but yeah I was kind of let down by this one. Still, it was better than 'The Grudge"

Any chance of getting the I am Legend thread stickied? ... It just seam WAY easier to have a mod create these threads.

Anyway gave it a 9.5 (so rounded up to a 10)

I gave it an 8.

It had some incrediblely funny jokes, but it's not my favourite Rifftrax. I just didn't think it was the best fit for riffing.

The Blair Witch jokes were great.

Gave it an eight myself; maybe I just have a different sense of humor, but I had some BIG belly laughs from this one (which is apropos, since I have a big belly!)  Stuff like the "Feeding time at the Maxim Zoo" and "How do these people dress themselves?!" lines got me good and hard.

I gave it a 10!

I watched this movie for the first time with Rifftrax (thank God!), I would have died watching this unriffed. I crack up every time when Mike starts to cry (because he is happy) when Hud dies, because I was doing the same thing. This was the first movie that I have ever found myself cheering for the monster to kill ever main character in the film. This movie sucked big time, it is just hard to believe that there are so many die hard fans of this film.

Gave it a 10.
When they made the Tom Waits joke I spit soda everywhere, almost ruined my monitor.

Same thing happend with the Waits joke in Troll 2, oddly enough. Maybe they've stumbled onto the holy grail of comedy: Tom Waits.

I actually LOVE this movie by itself, I loved it in theaters and thought it was extremely entertaining.

And I STILL give this Rifftrax a 10 because it was absolutely hysterical, probably my favorite Rifftrax so far.
