Title: ICWXP Official Site Launches on Monday!
Post by: icwxp.carrie on March 29, 2008, 06:38:22 PM
Hey guys!  Your friendly neighborhood ICWXP MySpace Secretary here.   ;D

I just wanted to stop by and let everyone know that the main site for ICWXP will be launched this Monday, March 31.

The address is of course www.icwxp.com (http://www.icwxp.com).

The site is complete with forum, so I hope to see some of you there!  There's lots of interesting categories to gab in, including one concerning a possible live performance from Rick & The Bots.

There's also big sections right off the main page to discuss our friends Riff Raff Theater, Quiptracks, Cineprov!, and of course Rifftrax, Cinematic Titanic and The Film Crew.

I hope everyone has a smashing good weekend!!

kill the laugh track, loosen up the main hero guy, and all will be fine.

The fact the laugh tracks are not going to be included in further releases is old news.

Rick is a little stiff though, but no worse than some of Joel's wooden line reads and Mike was a little tense his first few episode I felt.

I feel ICWXP, if it continues the route it's going could possibly fill that void MST3K left one day.

Looking forward to the main site launch!

I firmly beleive that this is the single greatest thing since MST3K itself first came into the world.

What time zone?

Central Time, Imrahil.  It's 5:30 now for us.  So in 6 and a half hours the site launches.

Thanks for asking.   ;D

Well I actually liked Joel, despite not thinking he was very funny in the theater.  Nice doesn't equal funny.  He seemed like a good, warm spirited friend, so he did work as host.  I liked him a lot better in host segments than in the theater.

Mike's riffs are much darker and more sarcastic and were more a part of the movie for me, so he appeals a lot more to me.

Well I thought Joel was just as funny as Mike so there you go.

I pretty much like all MST3K,I don't really like one host more then the other.

There are a lot of times when I like Joel's laid back style more then Mike's,and then there are times when i like Mike's in your face style more then Joel's.

So it all kind of evens out for me.

yeah i think its absurd to say Joel isnt funny....you dont get to be on SNL before your 21 multiple times, write for Jerry Seinfeld, and create a genre defining tv show and not be funny....also how come these ICWXP threads always end up having people bash Joel or CT?

It's getting a bit old now. I get you don't like his humour ICWXP boys and girls but no need to always bring it up over and over.

That said, Im looking forward to seeing the new ICWXP site, im sure it will be great and full of amazingness....

Yeah i never got the idea that in order to like Rifftrax or ICWXP you have to hate Joel.

Or the idea that if you like Joel then that must mean that you hate ICWXP and Rifftrax.

Then again I have been a huge P.G Wodehouse fan since i was a kid so maybe I just like laid back humor a lot more then most people.

Hey! Thanks to you from QuipTracks for the mention! We'll be posting this news over at the QuipTracks forum!

Also, is it true you guys are stationed in Kansas City? We live maybe 45 minutes from there, and I know my brother Asbestos Bill is interested in possibly meeting the ICWXP team sometime in the future.

Joel is funny.  I just thought he was funnier as a prop comic.  His stand up was hilarious and he was funny on Freaks & Geeks.

It came up because someone said Rick needed to loosen up and I made the comparison that Joel had a pretty wooden delivery in the beginning too, as did Mike.

It keeps coming up for the same reason the Joel vs. Mike thing always comes up.

I don't hate Joel at all.  :)

By the way, the official ICWXP forum is already up and getting posted on here: http://www.websitetoolbox.com/mb/icwxp (http://www.websitetoolbox.com/mb/icwxp)

I wish these guys well and all, and I'm interested to see the new website when it goes live, but I don't think they're going to survive. I think a lawsuit is inevitable.

Also, I'm sort of annoyed by the influx of advertising/posters here. Come because you're a fan of RT, not cos you want to promote some other product.

Let's not get the pointless lawsuit thing going again.  Even if they did, all they'd have to do is loose the shadows and they'd be fine.  Fans have produced and sold fan versions straight up called MST3K and still do and they've been left alone.

There's twice as much advertising for Riff Raff Theater on here and this is the FAN RIFFING section.  Complaints about fan riffing advertising is a bit unfounded I'd say, no offense.

Yeah, maybe you're right. I just don't really like shills who appear only to promote their product and leave, rather than actually participate in a forum.  Maybe you don't fall into that category, but I know of at least two posters in the IXCWCPXP camp who do.

Well there's a few noobs that migrated over here from their MySpace and seemed to have disappeared.  And and I can't say Carrie falls into that category.  She's busy as hell with their MySpace and now their board, but I hear ya.  I don't like that either.  Nobody wants to read spam.

THE SITE JUST LAUNCHED!!

Please not the lawsuit stuff again.

There is already a thread for that.

I can't wait to get my disc.

Well I am still hoping that all the problems I have heard about so far are just pilot episode hickups and that a years from now they will have found their groove.

I hope they do because as I said before i like Joel's style of riffing just as much as Mike's.

Nice looking site.

The titles for the upcoming movies look hilarious...... bad, cheesey horror movies.   My ALL TIME favorite kind of bad movies to watch.   :highfive:

Just joined the forum over there too.

Not that I really care, but the greater percentage of your posts are either in ICWXP threads or mention ICWXP in other threads.  Just saying.

I personally don't care one way or another.  I'm not trying to be a dick but you seem to only talk about one thing.  I am glad you've at least given the Quiptracks guys a chance and checked out their stuff.

I checked out the ICWXP site and made a couple posts in the forum. Now I have another MST3K-related forum to keep tabs on. Not that I do very well at that. I tend to fixate on one forum for a time and then switch over to another. Not sure how lively the ICWXP forum will end up being, but I'm game.

The forum is actually really lively over there, at least for one that's only been up for two or three days.  I've been hanging out there a lot, I figured I'd swing back by here and see what was happening.
