Hey, everybody. With the help of Chaos and Chris Hanel, I've put together an up to date video instructuion guide detailing the riffing and submission process.

Now, this is my first time doing anything with Windows Movie Maker, so be gentle (if honest.) I know the video sound is bad, my reads are often a bit off, and yes, I'm reading from cue cards. Also, the color of my room hurts your eyes;I know, and I'm sorry.
Thanks Chris for introducing me to Audacity, and thanks Chaos for checking this thing for errors.

nice and simple. You got a good narrating voice, Junkyard.

Thanks, though my own voice, when recorded, makes me want to strangle me.
Aaaannnddd, for some reason YouTube cut off the last word- Comedy. DAMMIT!

Okay, bumping this. Off page 1 in 12 hours??!!! I spent a week getting this together!

Most likely because of all the stickied topics. Pretty soon there won't be a page 1. Nice job putting it together.

I think a lot of people share that sentiment about their own recorded voices. I know I was really thrown the first time I heard myself on my own fan-riff. "What, THAT'S what I sound like?"
Overall this is a good guide, well done.

Is the youtube video tagged with Rifftrax, MST3k, etc...?

Nice job. I think it turned out quite well, and there's a lot of good information in there. :)
The only suggestion I would make if you put together a second version at some point, would be to make the script writing examples in a larger font so they are a little easier to read, and maybe leave them up on screen for a few extra seconds, to make sure the people have had time to read the whole example.

All good suggestions. I'm hoping to put up a version 2 later, when we have the site redone a bit. I also wanted to put in some live riffing examples, but I didn't want to have to make the thing a 2 parter for Youtube.

Nice video! Looks like it took a lot of time and effort.

Nice video. I literally laughed hard enough to bring a tear to my eye when you said "...but lets look a little closer."

.... Ah! Yes, that was, uh, that was me being ironic. Really!

I don't know if it was just that I wasn't expecting it or if it was your voice when you said it, but it was comedic gold.
BTW, I too am disappointed by my own voice whenever I hear it.... And also my face

Let's quickly end this self-conscious reminiscing before a High School Musical breaks out!

When do you hear your face?

"Side effects include nausea, drymouth, dizziness, and constipation. If you hear your face, consult your doctor immediately."
